Hi! My name is Sydney. This is my SKETCH BLOG. I do finished art sometimes here. The rest of the time, I'm thinking about art or moping about art or eating food or cooking food.
I’m an illustrator from Houston, Tx. I make vtubers for a living, but play games and stream games and think about making games for fun. This is my sketch blog where I don’t do much of anything.

To be fair, 5 of those pages are devoted to classes, and 3 are devoted “races.” Huh that’s so weird. Why did I put “races” in quotations like that. Guess You’ll just have to read it an find out.
I do want to spend some time trimming some fat and consolidating my verbiage. I’ve done a bit of that already, but I’ve left the first 6 pages i types largely unchanged and they could probably use some edits…

I’ve slowed down on making new content, but I’ve been doing some good editing. I’m thinking I’ll top out at around 24 pages or so.
I want to add some illustrations eventually as well, so it’ll probably end up being around 32-36 pages once everything is done.

9 pages just for classes now. I’m having a lot of fun writing classes…
I’m trying to write in a lot of clarifying language now as as well. I’d really like people to be able to do things loosey goosey if they want but also have rules to follow if you prefer that kinda thing. A “you gotta learn the rules before you can break them” kinda thing.
A creature cloaked in a giant, tattered, quilted blanket stained red at the edges.
Not much of it’s body can be seen save for it’s long clawed hands and haggard bestial feet. The form under the blanket is nearly human, walking upright but leaning forward like it is top heavy, and it has a strangely distended neck that cranes forward, giving it an appearance of always peering fixedly in front of it.
It makes very little noise except for a terrible mechanical sound like a train ripping from its tracks or maybe the sound that plane makes as it crashes nearby. I am always running away, so have never seen how it makes this noise. It is a relentless stalker.
Despite the long claws it bears on its digits, it holds a single rusty knife in hand, letting it dangle at its side–at the ready, but almost as if it’s trying to hide it.

Dudes healthcare is so fake. My ADHD meds are $940 without insurance. But they gave me a website of “coupons” which straight up looks like a scam website, and I got it today for $60! Just a coupon from a random website and it was $900 cheaper. America, I am confusion!! America explain!!

as a pharmacy technician i can share with you some websites that give you those “coupons” for your meds!
goodrx is the most well known one, but if i’m trying to find the cheapest price for a patient i compare it to scriptcycle, and use whichever is offering the best price. you just type in the medication (PLEASE make sure you’re getting the right drug, dosage, and quantity) and your zip code and they will spit out some offers for you
some pharmacies may have their own discount card to compare to as well!
if you are getting a name brand medication, you can also look at the manufacturer’s website to see if they offer any evouchers for you to use too

To be clear, I don’t have any news about any impending doom. But I’ve heard a bit more about what’s going on with staff after the layoff of last week, and there are even less people than I thought still working here.
I don’t think even the current staff know what’s going to happen, but honestly, I don’t see how the high ups could even pretend to intend to keep this place open while virtually unstaffed.

for reference, OP is a former employee of Tumblr who tries to keep up to date with tumblr’s inner workings. please back your blogs up.
In your blog settings you have the ability to initiate a blog export, and this will generate a backup for your blog.
Fair warning though, if you’ve been on the platform for a long time this archive is likely to be quite hefty in file size. This blog I have had for 5 years with 22k posts, and the export from tumblr came to be 48GB. My previous blog I made in 2011 and has 95k posts, so needless to say I did not use tumblr’s built in export to back that one up.
If you want more control over exactly what you back up from your blog, I recommend that you use tumblr-utils instead. It allows you to backup specific tags, post types, and to ignore posts that you did not create (reblogs where you’ve added a comment count as a post you created, to be clear).
extract the tumblr-utils zip and open the tumblr_backup.py file in notepad
search for “API” and paste in your OAuth consumer key
then go back to the folder where you extracted tumblr-utils and choose open folder in terminal / command prompt, or type cmd.exe in the address bar while inside the folder
now in the window that opens it should show the current path, and you can type “py -2 .\tumblr_backup.py [your options] [your blog name]” and hit enter. Example:
Backing up just my original posts from this blog with this command came to 632MB rather than 48GB, and also gave me the option to save my posts in JSON format which will be useful for converting my posts to a new format for self hosting.
On that note I’m currently looking into figuring out a simple (and ideally free) way of self hosting a static site blog that utilises activitypub, and also converting my old posts to re-host on said blog.
if you dont have an account on any of these I’ll also be sharing an update via my personal site’s RSS feed, link of which includes an explanation of what RSS is and some feed readers you can use, I highly recommend checking it out as getting a feed reader is going to be the best way you can stay connected with people if they scatter across the internet!
tldr: download tumblr-utils to backup your blog more efficiently, introduce yourself to RSS and get a feed reader to stay connected with people, consider saving mine so you can find out how to self host your blog later if tumblr goes down
