Committee on Budgetary Control

On 7 April 2025, the ECA Special Report 09/2025 "Systems for ensuring compliance of RRF spending with public procurement and state aid rules" will be jointly presented to Members of the Committee on Budgetary Control (CONT) and the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) by reporting ECA Member Jorg Kristijan Petrovič.

On 7 April 2025, the Committee on Budgets and the Committee on Budgetary Control will hold a joint public hearing on the "Lessons learnt from the Rule of Law Conditionality Mechanism and ways to make it more effective for the future".

On 8 April 2025, CONT Members will vote on the draft reports and amendments concerning the 2023 Discharge to the Commission, the EU - Agencies and the European External Action Service.

On 8 April 2025, the Members of the Committee on Budgetary Control will vote on the own-initiative draft report on the control of the financial activities of the European Investment Bank (EIB) - annual report 2023.

On 8 April 2025, the Members of the Committee on Budgetary Control will vote on the draft opinion to BUDG and ECON Committees implementation report on the Recovery and Resilience Facility.

On 8 April 2025, the Members of the Committee on Budgetary Control will vote on the draft opinion to the SEDE and ITRE Committees report for the European Defence Industry Programme and a framework of measures to ensure the timely availability and supply of defence products (‘EDIP’).

On 8 April 2025, the Members of the Committee on Budgetary Control will consider the draft CONT opinion to the own-initiative report of the REGI Committee on Possibilities for simplification of cohesion funds.

On 8 April 2025, CONT Members will exchange views on a study on "Methods in the ECA and the Commission to estimate the level of error in EU expenditure".
