Marvin L. Winans III
- Actor
Marvin Lawrence Winans III, affectionately known as "Three," began his career at the young age of 18 months after signing with a Los Angeles agent upon moving with his parents from his hometown of Tampa, FL. By the age of three, he had done several print and video jobs, including an Ad Council ad and later that year signed with Osbrink agency along with his one year old sister, Miranda Lark Winans.
Marvin would go on to sign with First Class Talent Agency, and has made his mark on the commercial ad industry with work in many brand commercials, including: Hyundai, Chrysler, Apple, Google, Walmart, Xfinity, GoDaddy, Amazon, AT&T among others and later made his TV series debut with a recurring role as Chad on Quinta Brunson's Abbott Elementary, including his stand out, fan favorite appearance in Season Two's Halloween episode, where he nailed "going as" a miniature Mr. Johnson (William Stanford Davis) for Halloween. From the bald head to the rolling garbage bin and even mimicking the older Johnson's voice, Marvin III showed his capacity for both comedy and dramatic interpretation.
Marvin would later join the all-star cast of Regina King (Shirley, Boyz n the Hood) and Mara Brock Akil's (The Game, Black Lightning) Netflix series, Forever, as Jaden, his first series regular role.
Marvin has a dream of becoming an NBA baller and plays travel ball.
Marvin is the son of singer, producer Marvin Winans Jr. and Realtor Monique Winans. He is one of four siblings, Miranda (10), Marissa (8) and Maximus (4). This has truly been a family business for him as he has appeared in many commercials with both his siblings and his parents.
Marvin is the grandson of Gospel music legends, Marvin Winans Sr. and Vickie Winans and the great nephew of Grammy winning duo Bebe and Cece Winans. He is also the cousin of Greenleaf actress, Deborah Joy Winans and nephew of singer, and super-producer, Mario Winans.
