In the opening monologue, Red tells several jokes about the brand new NBC commissary. Seagulls Gertrude and Healthcliffe are on hand for a gag. Skelton concludes the monologue with a pantomime about a man trying to discreetly remove a seed from his teeth. The title of the Silent Spot is "Day After the Bachelor Party."
