Mulberry’s Georgia May Jagger Collection

Mulberry might be known for its prim and proper style; but with Georgia May Jagger’s collaboration, it has amped up its style with a British rock ‘n’ roll edge.

Inspired by her personal collection of vintage leather jackets, Georgia May decided to create the perfect leather jacket.  She mainly wanted to create a jacket that truly fit well.  To make a more figure-flattering jacket, Georgia May created a long-line style that fits at the hips.  She also made sure the width of the sleeves was cut correctly to allow plenty of room for layering over sweaters.  The leather jacket is crafted in soft black lambskin leather and has a hidden surprise inside: she added a pop of color to the lining, with the choice of emerald green, sapphire blue or ruby magenta.

In her collection, Georgia May fully embraced the honored biker tradition of personalizing one’s leather jacket.  A graphic artist who designs artwork for motorcycles and biker helmets created illustrations of Georgia May’s favorite English countryside animals.  A bee, an owl, or a fox can be hand painted onto the back of the jacket. For even more personalization, the wearer’s initials can be stitched onto the bottom corner of the jacket or onto the back like a jersey.

To complement the jacket, Georgia May also designed coordinating scarves.  There is a small silk square or a large silk scarf.  Both scarves feature one of the countryside animals and one of the linings’ colors.  The small silk square can be worn as a bandana or tied around your handbag, while the large silk scarf is a true wraparound scarf.

To complete her collection, Georgia May designed a small leather pouch with a biker chain strap.  The strap can be wrapped around the wrist or become a cross body bag.
