As both an anime fan and a Star Wars fan, this one left a strange taste in my mouth. On the one hand, it is competently made, and it is obvious a lot of effort was put into it. Some of the episodes are genuinely good. On the other hand, Disney is so desperate to regain fan goodwill after the disaster that the sequel trilogy was, that this feels like a cheap attempt to cater to the anime audience in order to get back some of that goodwill. So it has that shadow over its head at all times. The fact that this is non-canon also ruins it in my opinion, because the stories, which are good, can't be taken seriously as a result. Plus, I like Star Wars when it's big and bold, and when it's not exclusively related to Jedi, Sith and Mandalorian B.S. Because of all of that, it just doesn't feel Star Wars to me.
In conclusion, I didn't enjoy it as much as I wished to, but it's still a well made anime in its own right. Just forget it's meant to be Star Wars. Recommended for a casual audience.

Star Wars: Visions are short length episodes that cover standalone stories done by different Japanese animation studios. Initially, this was a cool concept, but only a handful of these episodes I'd recommend. Still, I think this is worth a watch for any Star Wars fan for the different types of story telling.

Star Wars finally gets its Animatrix. You might not personally like (or understand) all of the episodes, but they are all fantastic and lovingly created. Each story shows the respective animation studio firing on all cylinders and clearly creating out of passion.
The sheer range in this anthology, and how well the lore of Star Wars holds up in just about any style and model of storytelling, is what makes this a must see for Star Wars fans, and a strong recommendation for any fan of Japanese animation.
