FripSide is a Japanese pop duo that started in February 2002.
They officially became a part of Visual Art's in 2006. They released their works under elseena-music entertainment and many of their songs were created for Visual Art's games, as well as other erotic game companies. In addition, fripSide had a side group, called fripSide NAO Project which started on March 30, 2007.
Seiyuu Nanjou Yoshino, replaced nao as the vocalist of fripSide. They re-debuted under the record label Geneon Universal Entertainment with the single Only My Railgun on November 4, 2009.
On March 24, 2022, the group's first phase 3 single "dawn of infinity" was announced along with a promotional image of Satoshi and two new singers wearing the black silhouette. On April 24, 2022, during the "fripSide Phase 2 Final Arena Tour", the two new vocalists of the group were announced, Uesugi Mao and Abe Hisayo, and they sang along with Nanjo Yoshino some songs of the Phase 2, in addition to their debut song, "dawn of infinity".
