Celebrating International Women's Day 2025 with Odgers Berndtson Australia 🌟 Over the past week, our partners joined the Australian British Chamber of Commerce to celebrate International Women’s Day in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth. The discussions were rich with insights and inspiration, reflecting on the diverse experiences and challenges women face in their careers. In Sydney, hosted by Toby Gardner, the focus was on the critical importance of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). The conversation also delved into imposter syndrome, emphasising the need to move beyond self-doubt and embrace unique qualities. The role of male allies was highlighted as crucial in advancing gender equality. Perth's discussions hosted by Julia Soutter highlighted the value of authenticity and "humble confidence." The panellists emphasised learning from other leaders, finding time and space to grow, investing in networking, and the importance of being true to oneself, even if it means showing vulnerability. In Melbourne, hosted by Caroline Dever & Julia Soutter, the theme revolved around the significant role culture plays in women's career decisions. The discussion underscored the importance of strategic job choices, continuous delivery and being comfortable with the uncomfortable, all critical to the C-suite journey. Our colleagues in Brisbane have had to postpone their IWD breakfast and are looking forward to attending next Tuesday, 11th March. Our thoughts are with everyone in Northern NSW and Queensland currently. As we celebrate International Women's Day, let's continue to support and uplift each other, embrace our unique qualities, and strive for a more inclusive and equitable future. True leadership is about authenticity, resilience, and a commitment to making a positive impact. Thank you to all the remarkable women who joined our tables and contributed to these thought-provoking discussions. Together, we can continue to drive positive change and support the advancement of women in the workplace. #IWD25 #DEI #Leadership #OdgersBerndtson #WhereLeadershipMatters #ExecutiveSearch #ExecutiveCoaching
