A skills-based approach, organisation-wide

About us

WithYouWithMe is a global tech company that helps organisations fully utilise their workforces, by perpetually evolving the skills they have into the skills they need. We are driven by a simple belief: that when an individual’s career aspirations are aligned with organisational goals, both will thrive. Drawing on this philosophy, our proprietary employee activation software and talent creation services help organisations around the world to cultivate skilled workforces that are always prepared, fit for purpose and inclusive. Our software platform maps and manages an organisation’s workforce skills, capturing the current capabilities and future potential of employees against the needs of the organisation. It’s skills-based employment, but with a twist. We take someone’s skills profile and enrich it with innovative psychometric and cognitive insights to create a holistic view of where they are now – and where they could go next. Our tech makes these insights actionable across the end-to-end talent lifecycle – motivating people to continuously grow in the direction a company needs. We call it ‘employee activation’. It’s how you get the most out of your people, and people get the best opportunity to succeed.

Friday rolled around fast and my highlight of the week: hosting this panel discussion on the AI skills every knowledge worker needs—and how leaders can build teams that thrive in the age of AI. It was packed with insight from our brilliant panellists Javier Ponce Suarez from Atos, Madlyn Del Monte from Paramount and Amit Sion from X-Team. Watch the recording if you can but here are a few of my favourite takeaways: - Get clear on the objective. Every leader is talking about AI—but what’s the real purpose for your team and business? Once you know that, you can design targeted, meaningful plans and execute a people and skills strategy that actually gets your teams where they need to go. - Let AI do the jobs you hate. This one’s simple and brilliant: Make AI your intern. - Don’t just grow technical skills—build thinking frameworks. In an AI-powered world, human skills like critical insight, commercial acumen, and decision-making are more important than ever. And that doesn’t happen by accident. Mentorship is key to helping people develop those muscles through real human connection and guidance. Big thanks to everyone who joined us and to Storm Vance from Art of Mentoring for co-hosting. The future of work is already here—and it’s energising to be building it alongside such thoughtful leaders. https://lnkd.in/g3KXT4rA WithYouWithMe Tom Larter Paul Wahltuch Jess Haines-Hann Jessica Dwyer (she/her) Rebekah Nugent Ian Handley Katie Kelly Sophie Thompson Stephen Young Sally Walker Drew Kelton

  • 💭The Future of Talent: Prioritising Growth, Skills and, Retention The way organisations find and develop talent is changing—fast. Traditional hiring models that rely on past experience aren’t keeping up with the demands of today’s workforce. We believe the ability to learn is the most valuable skill for the future. Instead of relying on resumes, we assess aptitude, personality, and learning potential—helping organisations tap into hidden talent and future-proof their workforce. Three key trends we’re seeing: 🔹 Skills over experience – Companies are prioritising adaptability and problem-solving over rigid job histories. 🔹 A shift in hiring strategies – Employers are investing in training and development, not just recruitment. 🔹 Retention over recruitment – Businesses are upskilling and growing their teams from within. Our CEO, Tom Larter, recently joined Joana Inch from the SaaS Stories podcast to dive deeper into this shift and what it means for the future of work. Hiring alone won’t solve today’s workforce challenges. Hiring for potential will. Ask us how we’re helping businesses build the workforce of the future.

  • 🚀 It was fantastic to attend the launch event of the Tech Future Taskforce on Social Mobility this morning at the Google offices! The event brought together tech employers, investors, and social mobility partners to share insights and best practices on how we can collectively drive change within the tech sector. The discussions were incredibly valuable, with speakers like Richard Horne, Bianca Caravtov, Carl Read, Marie Hamilton, and Mabel Ellingham diving deep into the importance of improving socio-economic diversity and widening access to tech careers. A special fireside chat with David Houghton and Rt Hon Peter Kyle MP, Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, highlighted the urgency of our mission. The Taskforce aims to tackle the elitism in tech, where only 9% of employees come from lower socio-economic backgrounds—far lower than sectors like Law and Finance. By addressing these disparities, we can unlock diverse talent and enhance market competitiveness across the UK. This is just the beginning of an exciting journey to make the tech industry more inclusive and innovative. We’re here to help people from all backgrounds turn their tech career aspirations into reality. For organisations looking to develop or strengthen their social mobility programs, we’d love to help you unlock the true potential of your people, regardless of their background. By fostering diverse and inclusive teams, we can create equal opportunities for all and ensure your workforce’s full potential is realised. Looking forward to being part of this journey! 🌟 #TechFutureTaskforce #SocialMobility #InclusiveTech #DiversityAndInclusion #TechCareers #FutureOfWork

  • Yesterday, ahead of International Women's Day 2025, we attended Tech Council of Australia's event on women in leadership, entrepreneurship, and global trade. Hosted by Lockton and featuring insights from Dr. Sandy Chong and Dara Williams (Deputy CEO, Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), the event sparked powerful conversations on equity, innovation, and the future of female-led businesses. 💡 Key Takeaways: 🔸 Women entrepreneurs still face barriers in international trade—better access to networks, funding, and policy support is key. 🔸 Cross-border collaboration isn’t just beneficial—it’s a competitive advantage. 🔸 Embracing cultural diversity drives innovation. 🔸 Leadership matters. Building inclusive workplaces takes action, strategy, and advocacy. Huge thanks to everyone who contributed to the discussion. Let’s keep pushing for real change, breaking barriers, and building a more inclusive, globally connected future.

  • For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.🌟 ✨This International Women’s Day 2025, WithYouWithMe is proud to celebrate real progress in gender equality within our organisation. Our global workforce is currently 50% women, and our senior leadership team reflects that same 50-50 balance—a milestone in an industry where this level of representation is far from the norm. Beyond representation, meaningful change is about removing barriers. By focusing on skills-based employment, we create genuine opportunities for all talent to thrive, eliminating unconscious biases that often hold women back. This approach has also helped reduce our gender pay gap from 14.95% last year to just 1.94% today—demonstrating that when skills, potential, and inclusion drive decision-making, equality follows. Achieving gender parity isn’t about ticking a box; it’s a continuous effort that requires businesses to ask themselves: 🔸 Are we recognising talent based on skills and potential, or outdated markers of success? 🔸 Are our workplaces truly inclusive, ensuring women can thrive at every level? WithYouWithMe is committed to making equality the standard, not the exception. We invite like-minded organisations to join us in building workplaces where ALL women and girls can lead, innovate, and succeed. #IWD2025 #ForALLWomenAndGirls #GenderEquality #WomenInTech #WomenInDefence #SkillsOverStereotypes

  • This week in Adelaide, WithYouWithMe has been meeting with government, defence industry leaders, and education partners to drive forward our #ForgeYourFuture initiative—helping to build awareness and access to STEM careers in Defence Industry. At the Australian Industry & Defence Network (AIDN) SA breakfast, our CEO Tom Larter spoke about the importance of creating real, accessible pathways for young Australians into the industry. A key takeaway? The recognition that for many businesses, Defence is just one pillar of a broader, high-tech and rapidly evolving sector—a reminder of how interconnected industry capability truly is. A huge thank you to BAE Systems, Nova Systems Australia and New Zealand, Leidos Australia, Department of Education SA, and Year13, along with all the industry leaders who provided valuable insights this week. Did you know the CV was first "invented" in the 1480s by Leonardo da Vinci? Over 500 years later, we’re still relying on the same outdated document to assess talent—often overlooking people with the right skills but the wrong job titles. That’s why it’s refreshing to see organisations like Leonardo take a different approach. By focusing on aptitude and potential rather than traditional credentials, they’re unlocking hidden talent, supporting internal mobility, and creating new career pathways for employees. Through our ‘Potential’ platform, we’re helping Leonardo identify people like Jason, Laura, and Adam, who might have been overlooked in a CV-based process—but have the skills to thrive in new roles. 🚀 🔗 Learn more about their journey here: https://lnkd.in/ern5YiGk #SkillsOverCVs #TalentDevelopment #InternalMobility #FutureOfWork #AptitudeBasedHiring #WithYouWithMe #Leonardo

Following the successful introduction of aptitude-based testing to make highly skilled job roles accessible to a wider pool of people, we have now extended this approach to support internal mobility and career development for its existing employees. “We have made a conscious transition away from determining internal or external candidates by traditional criteria – such as job titles and qualifications – to placing the emphasis on what existing and potential skillsets each person has or could develop,” explains Nerys Thomas, VP Talent Development, Inclusion and Change at Leonardo. “Using the WithYouWithMe ‘Potential’ platform has enabled us to identify talent within the company and from outside who might have been previously overlooked, because of outmoded recruitment practices.” Discover more about this approach and how the likes of Jason, Laura and Adam are benefiting from it: http://lnrdo.co/439pceN #WeAreLeonardo
