The Queensland Government has announced a pause on the next phases of the trust account rollout, delaying changes originally set for 2025. This decision stems from key industry concerns, including rising financial pressures, an increase in insolvencies, and compliance challenges for smaller contractors. 🚧 QBCC Reporting Update: What SC1 & SC2 Licensees Need to Know! 🚧 The Queensland Government has announced plans to remove the annual financial reporting requirement for SC1 & SC2 individual licensees. While this is a step toward reducing administrative burdens in the building industry, this change is not yet in effect - meaning SC1 & SC2 licensees must continue to submit annual reports until further notice. 📑 The QBCC still enforces financial compliance requirements, ensuring all contractor-type licensees meet minimum financial standards.
