About

Firms in the top quartile for gender diversity in executive teams are 25% more likely to have above-average profitability, reveals a 2019 analysis by global management consultancy McKinsey & Company. However, many women I speak with say they feel lost in their leadership quest.

As one of Australia's freshest thinkers and speakers on feminine ambition, how to tackle it, spark it and see it flourish - I help career-minded women in leadership to build their presence, positioning and personal brand, then fast-track their progress and pathway to the boardroom.

Since my last role as CEO of SOCAP Australia, I have helped more than 2000 women to step up, speak out and take charge - of their roles, careers or their organisations.

HOW I HELP

► Mentoring one-on-one | strategic leadership & personal brand development for women
► Corporate talent pipeline leadership development
► Public speaking | keynotes | Emcee | workshops

With a readership of more than 40,000, I have been featured on SkyNews, AFR, This Working Life, The Age, Sunday Life, SMH, ABC Radio, CEOWorld MagaZINE, The Australian Minerals Institute Bulletin and Marie Claire Magazine.

As a two times author, my books help women to be perceived as the natural talent for the future
► 'Invisible to Invincible', a self-promotion handbook for executive women
► ‘Step Up, Speak Out, Take Charge’ is a woman’s guide to getting ahead in her career

Corporate clients include NAB, CBA, Telstra, ANZ, BoQ, SA Power Networks, Brookfield, Energex, Atlassian, Lawyers on Demand, Suncorp, APA, AGPA, IAPPANZ, AVCAL, Women in Logistics, Aventage, Gastech and VicICT4Women.

Women of self-worth win.

Recent individual coaching and mentoring clients include
► Jane Pires, the first woman to land the role of Queensland’s Energy and Water Ombudsman
► Mary-Beth Hosking, newly appointed CIO, PointsBet
► Barb Swanson, newly appointed CRO, Fergus
► Ursula Lepporali, newly appointed Partner, KPMG

Empowered women definitely do it differently and that's the competitive advantage.

“[Amanda] is dynamic and strategic…and will help you crystallise your future goals and then lay a road map on how to achieve them. This is by far the best investment you can make in your career!” - Tanya Singh, Global Head - Remuneration & Benefits, Nufarm.

Gender diversity is just not a nice to have, it’s a performance lever. Bias is bad for business. Put simply, organisations are leaving money on the table by ignoring diversity.

Gender diversity is just not a nice to have, it’s a performance lever. Bias is bad for business. Put simply, organisations are leaving money on the table by ignoring diversity.

As a speaker, mentor & trainer, I help busy executive women remain strategic, agile & focused on the bigger game - along with maintaining a focus on the leadership skills that women bring to the table.

I also work with organisations that want to increase the profile of women in leadership, but struggle to do so, via a leadership talent pipeline program.

      Ways I help clients include:

► Individual mentoring to win promotions & salaries of $300K+
► Developing a winning formula for self promotion & selling brand you
► Visibility strategies to win awards, get published, & be invited to join boards
► Corporate programs to develop the talent pipeline of emerging leaders

My observation working alongside career-minded professionals is that men were far more likely to speak at conferences, write articles, nominate for awards, or volunteer for career advancement opportunities.

And while many of the amazing women I worked with were super intelligent, career-minded, & some were already demonstrating great leadership, for a range of reasons they weren't as ‘bold’ as their male counterparts when it came to stepping up, speaking out or taking charge.

I challenge the men and women of the C-suite and boardrooms to acknowledge and sell the message that gender diversity is a lever that drives higher performance. And that gender diversity is not just good for business, it’s good for both men and women as well.

      Vive la révolution!

“Amanda’s advice is practical, strategic and confidence-boosting as she reminds me to stop underestimating myself and to take charge. She is playing a critical role in encouraging women into senior leadership roles and into boardrooms. Amanda is a fabulous role model and coach for executive women.” - Deborah Young Association Executive, Sydney

      WHO IS THE CLUB FOR?
► Executive women with their eyes on the prize, craving connection with others on a similar journey
► Those suffering from “flat head” syndrome from hitting all the brick walls, glass ceilings and roadblocks of bias, stereotypes and “imposter syndrome”
► Those feeling isolated in their career who don’t have the support they need to succeed
► Those rired of feeling invisible and overlooked, and dreaming of becoming invincible, with their contribution truly recognised

If so…welcome to The Club! And let's do something about it.

“This is THE place, where like-minded, executive-minded, forward-thinking women come to communicate—collaborate—and celebrate everything that it means to be a career-focused woman in a male-dominated environment. This isn’t about ‘us vs. them.’ This is about us making a name for ourselves—taking a seat, and truly owning that seat, at the executive table—and doing so not as ‘clones’ of men, but as authentic, self-confident, self-empowered women.” ~ Amanda Blesing

WHAT THE RESEARCH SAYS ABOUT JOINING GROUPS LIKE THIS

► 75% of leading women surveyed did better with the female support of others on a similar journey.
► When women surround themselves with other women, they expect roles that are 2.5 times greater in seniority than women who have male-dominated networks.

      ASTOUNDING!

Every day I speak with executives who feel as though they have lost traction with their careers. 2020 has been a year of chaos and confusion. COVID-19 has made travel restrictions, office shutdowns, lock-downs, virtual meetings and working remotely a way of life. Then just when we thought we were getting on top of this pandemic, the feared second wave of coronavirus became a reality. Many continue to work from home, detached from colleagues, champions and the powers that be.

This topic is so important for right now as the old ways of influencing may not work anymore because of remote working arrangements. Far fewer corridor chats, ad-hoc coffee machine encounters or seeing people around the office (even in the elevator). The eyebrow raise that would once have worked to signal to a peer to take a particular approach in a meeting, is far harder to do on Zoom. As a result, to help my clients and readers navigate this new world more easily, I've outlined my thoughts on influence in a whitepaper - the 9 Things Influential People Do Differently, to help you on your influence journey.
