🚢 Innovating Vessel Movement Measurement with Photogrammetry! Apixa, in collaboration with the Flanders Hydraulics - Waterbouwkundig Laboratorium and De Vlaamse Waterweg nv, and with support from the Programma Innovatieve Overheidsopdrachten (PIO), developed a non-contact method to accurately measure the forces acting on inland vessels during the locking process. 📐 The method applies photogrammetry to track the movement of both the bow and stern of the ship. Four cameras monitor specific points on the bow and stern over time, capturing precise data on the vessel’s displacement 🔗 Curious to find out more?
