On March 20th, Diplomat Consulting, in collaboration with the Edmonton Pride Centre and Tawaw Outreach Collective, hosted a Naloxone and Harm Reduction training seminar to do our part in keeping our community safer. During the workshop, we learned common harm reduction approaches, destigmatizing language approaches, and how to administer different forms of Naloxone to prevent an opioid overdose. Thank you to those who attended and helped make this a meaningful step toward a safer, more informed community! Together, we can make a difference and save lives. #HarmReduction #NaloxoneTraining #Edmonton #CommunitySupport #OpioidPrevention #Destigmatizing #HealthAndWellness #CorporateSocialResponsibility #EdmontonPride #TawwawOutreach #Diplomatconsulting

On March 19th, Saskatchewan Finance Minister, Jim Reiter, delivered his first budget, tackling a range of critical issues facing the province in the coming year. While the budget reflects key priorities like health, education, and public safety, the uncertainty of U.S. tariffs adds a complex layer to future projections. Here are some key takeaways: 👉 Tariffs Impact: A worst-case scenario could see Saskatchewan's exports to the U.S. drop by $8.2 billion, with a GDP decline of $4.9 billion. 👉Health & Education: Record spending on health, including a focus on 450,000 surgeries, and a 5.5% increase for education to support growing student enrollment. 👉Public Safety: A boost in police personnel and funding for community safety initiatives. A couple of weeks ago, we were at the launch of a pilot project set to revolutionize the cannabis industry, but we are excited that the word is getting out and the story is gaining the traction it deserves. This first-in-Canada initiative allows consumers to scan a QR code to access detailed product information, including lab test results, potency, certificate of analysis, cannabinoids, and terpenes. Supported by Metrc, Token Naturals, Plantlife Cannabis, and AGLC, the pilot will expand if successful, creating a national standard for cannabis product verification. Stay tuned as Alberta sets the bar for cannabis transparency! 🚀 #Alberta #CannabisTransparency #QRCode #Innovation #CannabisTech #Metrc #TokenNaturals #PlantlifeCannabis #AGLC #DiplomatConsulting #ConsumerTrust #CannabisIndustry #CannabisRevolution Edmonton Chamber of Commerce

We are taking a break from unplugging to discuss this historic announcement to reduce trade barriers across the country in response to the U.S. imposing 25% tariffs on Canadian goods. Thanks to a new deal, Canadian alcohol will flow more freely between provinces – a move that will enhance local businesses and contribute an estimated $200 billion to Canada’s economy. 🍷🍺 Serving on the Committee on Internal Trade (CIT), Minister Anita Indira Anand says this unprecedented action will unite Canada and remove barriers to interprovincial trade. For 2025, the Northwest Territories is the Chair of the CIT, a position held be Honourable #CaitilinCleveland. The new deal will enable Canadians to enjoy products from other provinces, including BC wine in Ottawa, as well as push for the recognition of professional credentials across the country, making it easier for skilled workers to move between provinces. This is a pivotal moment to strengthen Canada’s economy and global competitiveness. #CommitteeonInternalTrade #CIT #CanadaTrade #InterprovincialTrade #Innovation #Economy #BusinessGrowth #CanadianEconomy #TradePolicy #CanadaUnited #EconomicOpportunity #DiplomatConsulting

Did you know that from sundown to sundown on March 7-8, it's the Global Day of Unplugging? It is a time to step away from screens and reconnect with the world around us. Since 2009, this awareness campaign has been a reminder of the importance of human connection in a world dominated by digital engagement. In today’s hyper-connected world, we’re always online — smartphones, tablets, computers, WiFi, and the Internet allow us to connect 24/7, 365 days a year. But on March 7, we’re encouraged to take a break and unplug. Dive into offline activities, enjoy in-person conversations, and create meaningful moments in real life. In support of the world’s largest digital well-being movement, we’re taking some time to reboot our systems. We encourage you to join us in unplugging — spend time with family, friends, or even in solitude. Let’s celebrate connection without screens! #GlobalDayOfUnplugging #UnplugToReconnect #DigitalWellBeing #OfflineMoments #Wellness #MentalHealth #Unplug #DigitalDetox #HumanConnection #LifeWithoutScreens #DiplomatConsulting
