Congratulations Civic Developments on winning the 2025 green GOOD DESIGN award for 2444 Eglinton Avenue East! We are excited to be helping this project achieve it's sustainability goals through our energy modelling services! #affordablehousing #sustainability #greenbuilding #Toronto
Honoured to share that our signature project at 2444 Eglinton Avenue East has been selected as a winner of the 2025 green GOOD DESIGN™️ award by The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum Museum for Architecture and Design. Three years ago when we first embarked on this project, we had the ambition to set a new precedent for what a mixed tenure, affordable housing development could be. From design excellence to uncompromising sustainability standards to community place-keeping - all would have to shine in order for the project to meet its goals. On behalf of the full development team, I want to thank the award-bearers for recognizing the realization of these lofty ambitions. This award pays tribute to the excellent cast of talented professionals giving their all to this project, starting with Henriquez Partners Architects and CCxA, and extending through the entire design and development team. Likewise, this could only be possible through the excellent partnerships without which we could not have achieved our goals. This is truly a project of partnerships, and I wish to thank those who have been instrumental in ensuring the success of the project to date: Co-operative Housing Federation of Toronto City of Toronto CreateTO Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) Société canadienne d'hypothèques et de logement(SCHL) Finally, to the folks at our development partner Windmill Development Group, this has been a team effort, and we are pleased to share this award with all of you. It is empowering to know that sometimes, when we set lofty ambitions and stay focused on uncompromising standards, our goals can be met. A massive thank you to all whose hard work has enabled us to get this far with this ground-breaking project. Activate to view larger image,
