✨ A new report from Clean Energy Canada argues that Canada’s housing buildout is a critical moment to ensure that new apartment and condo buildings include EV charging. Younger Canadians are more likely to live in apartment or condo buildings and to make an EV their next vehicle, but they cannot enter the market due to a lack of home charging access. Governments can address this key barrier to adoption by mandating EV charging requirements in national and provincial building codes. EV charging at home is the holistic approach we need because it: ⏰ Saves people time and money by skipping the gas pump forever, 💸 Promotes affordability by avoiding costly building upgrades later, ⚡ Supports Canada's EV industry by delivering more choice with better access to sustainable transportation options, 🫶 Supports equity by creating a more inclusive transition to electric mobility, and 💚 Reduces pollution, meaning cleaner air for everyone. Get to know the policies that can make apartment and condo buildings EV-ready: https://lnkd.in/eyxG2npA #EVcharging #EVready #EVreadiness #Policy #Housing #EVs #Electric #Transportation #Affordability #Bylaws #Retrofits #NewConstruction

🪁 Kite Mobility continues to scale and expand across the GTHA, debuting an all-electric rideshare hub in Oakville. Condo residents at The Saw Whet now have access to a BMW i4 electric vehicle, and there are plans to add more EVs and e-bikes to the urban mobility mix. “As Oakville’s first electric rideshare hub, this initiative provides residents with an innovative, sustainable, and convenient mobility solution, eliminating the costs and hassles of car ownership, reducing related environmental impact, and helping reduce traffic congestion,” said Scott M., Kite Mobility CEO and Founder. This is a first-of-its-kind and major step toward sustainable transportation in the region. We love to see it! 👏 https://lnkd.in/g3Q7uSaf #Rideshare #EVsharing #MovingPeople #Mobility #EVs #ElectricVehicles #ElectricMobility #UrbanTransportation
