The current pay-as-you-go model has failed and can only build a few infrastructure projects each year. Monetization would build many more projects and could help close the estimated $349.2 billion-dollar infrastructure gap, something the federal government committed to do by 2030. Through a unique collaboration, they responded to the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) Call for Proposals with a vision to: - Achieve first-to-market advantage - Enhance market access and positioning - Open up supply chain opportunities - Capitalize and protect Intellectual Property (IP) 🏦 **The Challenge:** Financial Institutions (FIs) were cautious about adopting rapidly evolving Fintech and RegTech solutions. Recognizing this, the CRTA and DGC embarked on a 15-month journey, gathering insights from over 75 AI/ML stakeholders, including FIs, fintech vendors, regulators, and academics. 📜 **The Result:** In May 2023, the groundbreaking "DGSI/WA: 2023 Baseline Requirements for Vendors Offering AI/ML Lifecycle Solutions to Financial Institutions" was published.
