On Sunday, Diehl Defence CEO Helmut Rauch welcomed the Ukrainian Minister of Defence Rustem Umerov at Diehl Defence in Überlingen. He was accompanied by a delegation of H.E. Oleksii Makeiev, Ambassador of Ukraine in Germany, and Sergiy Boyev, Deputy Minister of Defence in Ukraine.   During the visit, Helmut Rauch for #DiehlDefence and Rustem Umerov for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which provides for the expansion of cooperation and joint industrial projects to further strengthen the Ukrainian air defence. The MoU includes a substantial increase in the delivery of air defence systems and missiles from the IRIS-T family to the Ukrainian armed forces.   The IRIS-T SLS and IRIS-T SLM ground-based air defence systems form a central component of Ukrainian air defence for securing airspace and protecting critical infrastructure, ground troops and the civilian population. With a hit rate of almost 100 %, the systems have proven their reliable effectiveness and efficiency under demanding operating conditions. #airdefence #irist #security #Ukraine

In September 2023, #Estonia procured the Diehl Defence IRIS-T SLM ground-based air defence system and became one of the by now 20 countries, which rely on the outstanding performance of our IRIS-T based products. This week's visit of Magnus-Valdemar Saar, Director General ECDI and National Armaments Director Estonia, and his delegation at #DiehlDefence in Überlingen focused on the execution of the IRIS-T SLM Estonia project. During a company tour, the visitors gained a deeper insight into the IRIS-T production. Furthermore, Mr. Saar and his team had the opportunity to inspect an IRIS-T SLM launcher of the combat-proven air defence system. Diehl Defence CEO Helmut Rauch, CPO Dr. Harald Buschek and the Diehl Defence team would like to thank Mr. Saar and his delegation for the trustful #cooperation. #airdefence #irist

In February, Diehl Defence Chief Program Officer Dr. Harald Buschek had the pleasure to welcome Major General Andis Dilāns (Undersecretary of State for Logistics & National Armaments Director) and Edmunds Valantis (State Secretary Ministry of Economics) with their delegation from the Republic of Latvia at #DiehlDefence in Röthenbach. In November 2023 Latvia procured the IRIS-T SLM ground-based air defence system. During their visit, the Latvian delegation had, amongst others, the possibility to inspect an entire IRIS-T SLM fire unit. #airdefence #irist #defenceindustry #security

We are delighted to announce that Manuel Schwab, Senior Vice President Export Control at #DiehlDefence, currently Chairman of the Export Control & Customs Committee at German Aerospace Industries Association BDLI, has recently also taken on the position of Vice Chair of the Export Control Committee (ECC) of the Aerospace, Security and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) in Brussels. The ECC develops consistent industry positions on export control regulations and monitors international export control regimes. As an information hub, it keeps its members up to date on trends and best practices. It further more acts as an “early warning system” for upcoming changes. We congratulate Manuel Schwab on his election to this responsible position, which underlines his commitment and expertise in the field of export controls.
