Articulating the difference between an electronic signature and a digital signature with certificate is a challenge many Quality leaders face. The FDA requires a global certificate to use many of its electronic submission portals but this article has added another level of thought process for me. It’s becoming increasingly important to have a strong definition in the Quality System to guide activities as citations related to data integrity are in the forefront. Knowing the difference and what is needed when handling a digital signature with certificate versus a system like an eQMS (the complexity of the validation) will save the organization time, money and pain. In recent talks with different people I realized that many are not familiar with #gravitas WHAT IS GRAVITAS? 🎖️Gravitas is the aura of dignity, seriousness, and authority that someone exudes. . WHY IS GRAVITAS IMPORTANT? 📍 It's crucial for professionals because it enhances credibility, and fosters trust in their abilities and judgment. 📍Having gravitas at work means you are taken seriously, your contributions are considered important, and you are trusted and respected. 📍Gravitas increases your ability to persuade and influence and is likely to fuel the extent to which you rise in an organization. The organization also benefits: You’re more likely to add value if your voice is taken seriously. 📍Gravitas enables individuals to navigate challenging situations with poise and inspire confidence in their leadership. . HOW DO WE BUILD GRAVITAS? 🧩 Gravitas stems from a combination of factors such as confidence, expertise, integrity, and composure. While the internet often celebrates risk-taking, we overlook the real weight it carries for each individual. Think about it: Someone supporting a family approaches risk very differently from someone who doesn't bear others' responsibilities. A parent wouldn't quit their job to chase a dream without considering their family's needs. Instead, they might opt for a safer job change to secure their children's future. Some people don't seek extreme wealth, but aim for having enough money to be able to spend more time with loved ones. I applaud every individual for taking risks - from risking unemployment to start a business, to switching a job, risking not liking the work environment.

“Everyone should carry their own load” This is one statement my first boss and mentor Dr. Apurva Goswamy used to quote very often to help us collaborate better and it has stayed with me since! In life science tech consulting, where there is collaborative work in teams, this becomes all the more important! For consulting projects, there are teams with several roles and responsibilties e.g., project management, Business enablement Tech enablement, Validation. Unless, different functions carry their own weight efficiently, and work on their roles and responsibilities, chaos might ensue. In addition, its not just about carrying your own weight, it is also about not overstepping on other’s roles, which creates confusion and disharmony. So, how to ensure everyone carries their own weight, clear guidance on roles and responsibilities should be documented and provided. This can be politely reiterated in meetings to ensure everyone is on the right track! Does that mean, we should not put in an extra effort, yes we must if the project requires, but its important not to overstep, but instead assess and enquire whether an extra hand is required and then guide and help! Project Manager can help take those decisions. This attitude not only helps build camaraderie and trust in the team but also a positive environement that leads to successful projects!

Last week, the entire BRM squad - including our finance whizzes, support superstars, and CTT leaders from around the world 🌍🌏🌎 - gathered for an epic face-to-face powwow! 🇺🇲🇯🇵🇮🇳🇮🇪🇩🇪🇫🇷🇨🇭 "During a passionate debate, we managed to be candid yet diplomatic by referring to something from the reading," These all-encompassing team gatherings bridge the gaps in a fully remote work environment — fostering alignment, building momentum, and enhancing collaboration.A structured task encourages participants to approach pertinent issues from new perspectives and provides a common ground for discussions. ❇️ Here are some casual reflections on our insights so far, and how we might change our approach with this newfound experience. 🧡 Focus on human connection… but it’s okay if work *is* the way you connect. I think it’s a missed opportunity to acknowledge that the work is the common thread that brings us all together. We all care about our work deeply, and it’s okay to embrace that as a way to connect with each other. For instance, while some may view consuming short-form content as wasteful, others see it as a valuable area of study. It's easy to label activities as 'time-wasters' without considering their subjective nature. However, there's a simple way to define this gray area: if an activity fails to bring satisfaction or contribute to personal growth, it likely falls into the 'waste of time' category. It is extremely important to be conscious of your time usage especially in today's day and age since short form content is at it's peak where you can be "doom scrolling" for hours without actually getting any benefit from it Here's a few tips to be more mindful of spending your time - 1. Use tools like time-tracking apps, set alarms or simple pen-and-paper methods to monitor how you spend your time. This awareness can highlight patterns of inefficiency and help you make adjustments. 2. Identify common distractions in your environment, whether it's social media, emails, or noisy surroundings. Take proactive steps to minimize these distractions during focused work or leisure time. 3. Allocate specific blocks of time for different tasks or activities. This structured approach helps you stay organized, maintain focus, and ensure a balance between work, leisure, and self-care. 4. Use techniques like the Eisenhower Matrix to categorize tasks based on their urgency and importance. Focus on high-priority tasks first, then allocate time for less critical activities. 5.
