DeepTech Alliance genopslog dette
🌱 How do we unlock the full potential of European science-based innovation to drive the green transition? To address Europe’s innovation challenges—fragmented ecosystems, commercialization barriers, and increasing technological dependency—we need more than just talk. We need decisive action, stronger relationships between key stakeholders, and much more cross-border collaboration. That’s exactly what happened at last week’s DeepTech Alliance Energy 2025 kick-off event, hosted by our member imec in Leuven and Genk. 🚀 The event brought together: 🔹 20 cutting-edge deep tech startups and scaleups 🔹 20 forward-looking corporates 🔹 14 leading innovation hubs from across Europe Together, we forged new collaborations, explored commercial opportunities, and held open, honest dialogue on the future of clean energy. 🏛 The program kicked off at imec’s HQ with an exclusive tour of their world-leading semiconductor cleanroom, where we got a front-row look at how the future of semiconductors is being crafted in the heart of Europe—with the most advanced lithography, etching, and deposition tools in the world. 💡 Inspiring keynotes sparked big questions around scaling, sovereignty, and strategic partnerships: 🔸 Dr. ir. Frank Gielen (InnoEnergy) on why many hard tech ventures struggle to scale—and how Europe can rise to lead the next wave of industrial innovation. 🔸 Marvel Fusion shared a powerful case on why strategic partnerships are essential to realizing the grand vision of nuclear fusion. 🧠 More event highlights: 🤝 100+ corporate–startup matchmaking meetings 🔬 Tours of EnergyVille’s living labs 🌍 Peer-to-peer sessions with DTA’s innovation hubs on joint projects, program design, and partnership models 🔍 Deep Dive Dialogues with imec’s technical experts in AI for Energy, Electrochemistry, Batteries, and Photovoltaics—offering a window into what’s next in the energy transition. 🙏 Huge thanks to imec (especially Pieter, Bart, Olivier and Sarah) our corporate partners, participating startups, speakers, and DeepTech Alliance members for making this a shining example of what a united European deep tech ecosystem can achieve. "Only by opening up opportunities across borders can we improve European innovation & competetiveness and create startups that can compete globally."– Enrico Deluchi, Chair of the board, DeepTech Alliance #DeepTech #CleanEnergy #GreenTransition #ScienceBasedInnovation #EnergyTransition #EuropeanInnovation #IndustrialInnovation #ScalingDeepTech #OpenInnovation #DeepTechAlliance #Startups #TechSovereignty #ClimateTech
