"In 10 years, we will have robots doing the heavy lifting." … And that applies both at home and in the workplace. So says Henrik Christensen, a true Danish world star within the field of Robotics at UC San Diego. In this episode of our Tech Talk podcast, he and host Bent Dalager discuss what humanoids are capable of today, what we can expect to see in the future – and even what barriers we need to overcome to succeed. Bent expects humanoids on the shelves of Radio Shack's elctronic section in 10 years time. Tune in to hear the latest developments in robotics and humanoids, and find out if there’s anything we should be concerned about in this context (spoiler: There is, and it’s AI). On Friday, we celebrated International Women's Day with the theme accelerating action for diversity and inclusion. We had the pleasure of hearing from Gine Maltha Kampmann, CEO of Tænketanken EQUALIS, a think tank focused on equality and gender diversity, and Mette Louise Kaagaard, CEO of Microsoft Denmark & Iceland. Gine shared insights from Equalis’ Diversity Barometer, highlighting key data on gender diversity in Danish workplaces, while Mette offered her perspectives on driving change based on her own experiences. Their talks set the stage for an interesting panel discussion, where our CEO, Mads Raahede, and Head of People, Camilla Kruse, joined Mette and Gine to explore how we can foster a more inclusive culture. We rounded off the day with a Friday bar celebrating female entrepreneurship. From delicious food by Send Flere Krydderier to music by Future Female Sounds and cocktails from Rosévognen, everything was delivered by inspiring female-led businesses. We also had the pleasure of showcasing the work of three female entrepreneurs: New Moments Games, Wecycle Furniture, and Sabo. Thank you to all colleagues who joined us in celebrating and learning! At KPMG Denmark, we continue working toward a more diverse and inclusive workplace every day of the year.
