NDAs can limit one's growth in that you don't get to share your work and get more feedback but here's a possible way to work around it. Hi-fidelity screens are easily recognizable and matchable but the case is not the same for wireframes. So, if hi-fi screens can't be shared because pf NDAs, one can consider sharing wireframes instead since they are not easily recognizable and still preserve privacy. It's important to share carefully though and also possibly share very few and generic pages only. #design #dailydesigndose #NDAs

Last month, I was trusted with the opportunity to conduct an end-to-end redesign of our sales app, BOD Hub BRIK. My engineering manager Martin Luter and Nick Freza's mobile application team. Specifically, I made changes to the flow, the entire user interface, and aspects of the overall user experience. By collaborating on the RESHOT method—Remove, Shrink, Organize, and Time—to make the interface in the BOD Hub application easy to use by users,. In addition, there are also additional features in this application to make it more convenient for users. After launching in early April 2024, I conducted socialization with users. The purpose of this socialization is so that users know what has changed in the application they are using. In addition, we inform users of changes to microinteraction and flow in the application. In addition, I evaluate and collect information regarding other needs from users for the future. The importance of socialization to users can be measured by how accessible and usable the application we have made is. Creating bonds between users and UI/UX. Move Quickly, Polish Later: Don’t Waste Time on Turds One of the common tensions I’ve noticed while supporting startups is the push-pull dynamic between rapid innovation and design perfection. Startups are all about speed. They want to test new ideas, pivot quickly, and get products in front of users ASAP. But on the other hand, designers can often become deeply attached to their work. They strive for the highest quality and can be hesitant to ship anything that feels imperfect. And when they reach that level of quality, they are reluctant to make drastic changes. I was certainly guilty of that myself in the past. In a fast-moving startup environment, perfection can often be the enemy of progress. It’s not about rushing or delivering subpar work, but rather understanding that iteration beats stagnation. Great design can evolve over time, and early-stage feedback can help make it even better. Finding a design partner that understands this dynamic will have a tremendous effect. It's easier to move quickly when every idea isn't met with resistance. The designer should understand it's about moving the company forward, not about their portfolio piece. This tweet by Marc Randolph (Netflix) gives a great perspective on why speed beats perfection.

This week's Strive update. We quickly refreshed our UI/UX. What’s interesting is that the entire application, with a completely new UI/UX, took only a couple of days. We didn’t need a designer - in fact, our entire discussion about design was around three colors. Because our app looks and feels like ChatGPT and is relatively flat, there wasn’t much design effort involved at all. What do you think about UI/UX? You still have to maintain legacy applications, but for anything new, I think it’s going to collapse entirely into prompt-based UX. For example, complex visualizations like a fancy Tableau bar chart could simply be a prompt. The functionality and UX required would just be rendered on the fly. You can literally have a highly specific vertical app build insanely good, professional UX on the fly just by the user’s actions and learned behavior. Maybe this is already a thing?

Expect your favorite apps to greet you with, “Hey, you’re probably craving coffee again!” AI will predict your every move—sometimes too accurately—so be ready to explain to your friends why your Netflix suggests romantic comedies after one late-night cry session. Voice User Interfaces (VUI): Forget typing—just yell at your device like it's your sibling. Voice commands are taking over, so you can finally order pizza or write an email while simultaneously doing your TikTok dance.Augmented Reality (AR) Integration: Now you can try on clothes, test furniture in your living room, or give yourself a digital beard—because why not? Try explaining that to your tech-illiterate uncle. Minimalist, Content-Focused Design: Less is more! Finally, no more navigating through 37 pop-ups and a carousel just to find the "Buy Now" button. Apps will be so minimalist that you might start wondering, “Is this a design choice, or did the designer just forget to add stuff?”Inclusive Design: The future is all about making sure that everyone can enjoy the web—even your grandma’s 2008 computer. Expect interfaces to be so accessible, even your cat might accidentally order a bunch of treats with just one paw swipe. Sustainable Design Practices: In an effort to be eco-friendly, digital designers will minimize the energy your apps use—so much so that you might find yourself using an app made entirely out of recycled pixels. If only we could compost the internet!These trends will not only shape the future of design but might also make you chuckle (or at least keep you mildly amused) while you navigate through 2024’s brave new world of digital experiences!

For one of our clients, users couldn't see what the products looks or feels like in real life. Our hypo was that if we add animations of product unboxing this will increase user motivation and so more transactions will be completed. Outcome/Takeaway: Loss - Iterate Variation resulted in: -1.54% in Add to Cart (82% sig.) -2.22% in Transactions (73% sig.) -4.07% in Revenue per user (using Sessions) -2.02% in AOV Recommendation (next step): The variant had poor results across all devices. Iterate with other on-hand product content.

Being an AI champion has been such a rewarding experience!
