The best way to consistently grow your business? Constantly expand your network. At any given time, only 1% of your ICP audience will be in a buying mode - when their need and the service or product you provide are in perfect alignment. So if you want more leads and conversions in the bottom of your funnel (the 1%) - you have to steadily increase the number of eyeballs on you at the top of the funnel (awareness). LinkedIn is an incredible channel for generating awareness of who you are and how you think, and for expanding your network continuously. Spend time posting and commenting on here every day - and your network will grow exponentially. Mine has grown 4x in less than 3 years! When you post content and/or comment consistently, you are helping more people get to know you - the first necessary step in the KNOW > LIKE > TRUST > $$$ sequence. Last night, I joined Darren McKee's September Social Selling Cohort for our first meeting. This is my second month in a row doing this cohort, because I really want the concepts from these sessions to stick! Also, every time I do his cohorts, this is a chance for me to meet 50 new people and further expand my network. Next up on my list are Brandweek (Phoenix / Sept 23-26) and Blackweek (New York / Oct 15-18). I try to make it to one conference or show per quarter, if budgets permit. Bonus - take your client(s) with you, or turn it into a friends meetup! Traveling for work is one of the only times I get to see my friends and clients, who are spread out across cities all over the country and world. Because I'm a parent, most of my free time is spent with my kids. I relish the opportunities for work travel because of this, and really try to make the most out of them. Which is why you may have seen me popping into your DMs when I'm coming to your town... because I want to see or meet you IRL! Why do podcast fail? As of January 2024, there were 720,000 podcasts with more than 10 episodes, but only 156,000 of those podcasts released episodes weekly. Listing few biggest reasons: ✅ Terrible content- Good content is not what you like but what your audience will love. ✅ No serious effort into marketing- Sharing links on social media isn't the marketing strategy. Repurpose content, run ads, host giveaway and many comes to the list. ✅ Lack of research before settling with the niche- When it doesn't come from heart or you don't have enough knowledge about, avoid choosing that niche. ✅ No understanding what your audience wants- Hold a survey or take a feedback before riding on a trend wagon. It's not only about conversations but expectations too. ✅ Money-making venture- A lot of investment is need if you want to drive those results which will compound later on. Certainly it won't be if you aren't good at it. ✅ Not going with good gears from the start- People hold back to common advice of starting with your phone or using lapel mic, low resolution cams. Good enough but not for growth. ✅ Don't sleep on these reasons if you have started your own podcast and struggling to grow. Startups struggle far more with selecting marketing KPIs than sales KPIs. Why? For sales teams, KPIs are straightforward: pipeline created and deals won. If a CEO starts asking about the number of calls made, emails sent, or time between follow-ups, most sales leaders will push back. Marketing, however, faces two unique challenges: 1. Every stakeholder has an opinion on what marketing should achieve. 2. Weekly inspiration floods in from LinkedIn posts, newsletters, blogs, investors, agencies, and competitors, each suggesting what new thing marketing should try. The result? Marketing teams are constantly asked to generate new reports with new metrics. These reports take time to create, but the most frustrating part is that they rarely lead to action. The stakeholder skims the detailed report they requested, says “okay,” and moves on. In response, marketing teams start cherry-picking KPIs, adding impressive but meaningless stats: email opens went from 10 to 15, so a 50% increase in open rate; CTR on a random campaign; time on site for a specific page. All to fill a report with good-looking numbers. Strategy is about saying no. There are thousands of things marketing could do, but only a few will actually move the revenue needle. Create a set of KPIs that you believe directly link to revenue, and stick to them. Say no to the rest. If a new KPI becomes important, remove an existing one to make space.

We booked 6 qualified calls in one day for Romans Ivanovs with one boring campaign. (no cold email) It was a multi-channel outreach campaign - our specialty ;) But why? LinkedIn dms sales cycle can take 3 days → 3 months, so reaching out on other platforms speeds that up (and works better) Here's the sequence: 1. LinkedIn connection personalized message - (use sales nav or scrape search results with PhantomBuster) 2 .Cold Call - (enrich the linkedin profiles with findymail or scrape gmaps with Apify) 3. Cold Call follow-up - (if no response, leave a voicemail asking for a call back) 4. SMS message SMS & calling always worked better when it was a mobile number because it was almost always the owner. 90% of the Founders I meet have the same problem: They spend way TOO MUCH time doing the wrong things. Trying to do something new to stand out from the constant slew of ads your customers see? Do you: - Try to be different? - Use newness to be relevant? - Try to be new to gain a competitive advantage? Wanting to do something new is understandable. After all, just using the word new attracts customers’ attention. Humans crave novelty. When something is new, it triggers the production of the chemical dopamine. And, when dopamine increases, so does your motivation to act. Biologically, this desire for newness comes from your instinct to survive. When humans were hunter-gatherers, new information could give new insight into how to survive. Novelty is tied to learning to survive. That’s powerful stuff. But this same link between novelty and learning causes your advertising to struggle. This struggle you face comes from three ways your customers’ minds work: 1. The mind is a story-taking machine. Stories are learning devices that give your customers information to help them make better decisions. 2. The mind is a story-making machine. An image can trigger your customers’ minds to create their own stories about what that image means and how it relates to other stories they tell themselves. 3. A brand is a recall device. Seeing a brand makes your customers recall all their associations with your brand — all the stories they tell themselves about your brand, what it stands for, and how it makes them feel. So, when your customers encounter a novel image in your advertising, they are naturally driven to focus on it — because of that dopamine spike. They compare it to the stories they tell themselves about your brand. In doing so, they’re asking themselves, “Is it new? How does it fit into what I already know? And, when the new idea doesn’t connect with what they recall about the brand, they’ll have an internal conflict about what your brand really does. They’ll wonder: - What’s true about this brand? - “Has the brand changed?” - “Am I being duped now?” - “Was I duped before?” “I’m so confused.” Unfortunately, when grabbing attention with newness is the goal, new ideas don’t just happen once in an ad. They happen constantly. That’s a lot of confusion. When customers are confused, they don’t know if your product solves their problem. And they’ll look elsewhere when they don’t know if your product solves their problem. They won’t buy. Novelty is a powerful tool, but it can also be a dangerous one. Even if novelty increases your attention metrics, it can inhibit customers from purchasing if it confuses them. Here’s the key: Use novelty to attract interest. But make sure it’s a new way of showing something you always stood for, the problems you always solved, and how you always made your customers feel. Without that consistency, you’re just wasting your ad spend.

This boils my p1ss. So ANNOYING. 10 to 15 calls from who? How well qualified? What industry? What seniority? It's a pile of TOSH. Don't be fooled by it. There is no "simple strategy" that will get you 10 to 15 qualified calls per week. Full stop. It's all blood, sweat, and tears. There are tips, tricks, frameworks and strategies that will *help*. But every business, industry, product and service is different. Folks like this make it incredibly hard for us genuine people here on LinkedIn. Because we're telling OUR customers the truth. That the likelihood is, when you start a strategy, it's gonna take at least 3 months to start seeing any decent results from anything worthwhile. It's gonna take 6 to 9 months to start building consistent results. And probably, more than a year until you have it figured out. Don't be fooled, people. Snake oil... Snake oil EVERYWHERE. 😂🐍🛢️

How I cut my content creation time by 40% It usually takes me 20 minutes to get a post out, from idea to published, including visuals. Batching all 5 posts for a week... I can do it in an hour. Especially if I already have topics picked out. So... 1:40 vs 1:00 Not a huge deal. But over 52 weeks a year... That's an extra *35 hours* spent on content. If I can save an entire frigging week I'm gonna do it. So 2025... Everything is planned in advance. Each month has a theme. Each week has a topic. Each day has a category. Each post supports a business goal. And everything is coming together in just 1 hour a week. Maybe I'll be productive with that extra 34.66 hours... Or maybe I'll just spend an extra week in the mountains.

Fake VC website. Fake VC LinkedIn Profiles. An entire fake outbound campaign for a non-existent company from a non-existent person. That's the outbound strategy in a YouTube video from a pretty popular LinkedIn outbound influencer. With revenue, do the ends justify the means? I get it. Agencies have toed the line with a lot. Fake email personas | Which are wrong, have been around a long time. Fake LinkedIn profiles | Which are wrong, have been around a long time. I mean, even I overlooked email persona's, only because the limitations that agencies had in the early days of sales tech. But, to hear a strategy be taught...not executed in a back secret room...rather taught out in the open, like it's accepted as normal and everyone should do it. Is crazy to me. Very few if any of my clients would accept a strategy like that. To create a fake website, of a fake VC firm, and qualify it with setting up a fake LinkedIn, etc...ugh...that's what's wrong with outbound. Also, this is exactly why phone will continue to be the most important sales channel.
