  • Alexandria City Centre - Expansion Opening Team

    The new extension has almost doubled the size of the mall and made it the biggest shopping, leisure and entertainment destination in the city of Alexandria where I was selected to assist the existing team to ensure a smooth opening.

    This included the management of security, housekeeping, contractor and operational staff as well as setting a strategic plan to guarantee the existing operations is not disrupted and the shopping experience is not compromised by the preparations to opening.

  • Beirut City Centre - Opening Team

    Beirut City Centre is the first project for MAF Properties in the Levant region that delivers a new retail and entertainment concept to the country featuring many “firsts”. Over 40 of the 200 stores in the mall are new brands – never seen before in Lebanon: such as; Carrefour, Vox Cinemas, Magic Planet, and 40 food and beverage outlets including 3 flagship brands from North America.

    I was selected amongst an international team of operational experts to stay in Beirut for a month prior to the opening to see it through with the successful management of outsourced staff, training new employees on Majid Al Futtaim's world renowned quality standards in shopping mall management from housekeeping to security to retail management and store opening schedules.

  • Maadi City Centre - Restating / Refurbishment Post Uprising Damage

    Maadi City Centre in Cairo, suffered severe damage during the uprising in 2011. It was seriously impacted and remained entirely closed for two months after being damaged on January 29. The damage, including structural damage from the fire and stolen merchandise which was estimated at around US$34 million.

    As the operations manager of the mall, I led a team of crisis management experts to make sure that the mall reopens at the earliest possible opportunity. As I am known to excel under…

The damage, including structural damage from the fire and stolen merchandise which was estimated at around US$34 million.

    As the operations manager of the mall, I led a team of crisis management experts to make sure that the mall reopens at the earliest possible opportunity. As I am known to excel under extreme pressure, my team and I managed to break all expectations in having the mall reopened in March with 100% tenant occupancy and refurbishment.

    I am extremely proud of this project and received immense reward and recognition from the management of Majid Al Futtaim.
