Why we are seeing great companies thrive, like Arkadia Space of my friend and fellow #DeepTech #WorkGroup of Startup Valencia member Francho García, and others like PLD Space, just to name a couple? Because the will impact beyond traditional space sectors, enhancing industries like retail, supply chains, and disaster mitigation. Lower costs and increased access to space technologies are expected to revolutionise various sectors, like the smartphones and cloud computing did. There are even companies cleaning the space, something unimaginable just a few years ago. I’m very happy to announce that I’ve had the privilege of contributing to the recently published book, AI for a better world, from the Samsung Innovation Campus. This book stems from the enriching experience of teaching the AI diploma at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) and brings together both theoretical insights and practical applications of AI. The book is structured into two sections: the first delves into essential AI concepts, while the second highlights 16 innovative projects created by students. These projects underscore the incredible talent and creativity that arise when academic learning is transformed into real-world solutions. I'm excited to share our latest research published in RAE Revista de Administração de Empresas ! 📚✨ Our study delves into the fascinating world of impulsiveness, showing how it can be a creative and playful discovery process, especially in second-hand markets.   We surveyed 500 frequent shoppers in these markets and, through advanced statistical analysis, uncovered some intriguing insights. For instance, shoppers with a treasure-hunting mindset are more likely to experience impulsiveness, leading to spontaneous and creative purchases. Moreover, awareness of serendipitous moments significantly triggers impulsive behavior, enhancing the overall shopping experience.   One of our most exciting findings is how impulsiveness encourages bricolage behavior—where shoppers creatively repurpose and combine items in innovative ways, revealing the positive aspects of impulsiveness. The research opens new avenues for understanding and leveraging impulsiveness in marketing strategies, showcasing its potential to drive creativity and innovation in consumer behavior.   Curious to learn more? 🌟 Over the past two days, I had the privilege of attending Andalus Innovation Venture in Sevilla! It was truly inspiring to meet so many passionate founders and startups working on groundbreaking solutions that will shape the future. 🚀 Here are some general ideas & conversations with innovative startups: 💡 **AI-powered Everything**: Startups of all kind are now harnessing artificial intelligence to revolutionize everything that we had created before, to offer a more personalized experience and of course much faster. 🌱 **Sustainability**: Startups are turning a focused attention on everything to do with agriculture, by developing cutting-edge solutions and eco-friendly products. 📈 **Fintech reimagined**: Entrepreneurs using blockchain and digital tools to simplify financial transactions and promote financial inclusion for all. 🏗️ **Smart cities**: Companies designing smart infrastructure and IoT solutions to create more efficient, connected, and sustainable urban environments. 🌍 **EdTech pioneers**: Startups creating new ways to educate and engage students and children, fostering creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurial mindsets from an early age. One message I walked away with is the 🎓 **importance of teaching entrepreneurship to our children**. So many of these entrepreneurs were admitting that they come with a lot of technical knowledge but lack business and entrepreneurial skills that are a blend of management skills, finance and leadership. Startup and entrepreneurship is about fostering creativity, resilience, and problem-solving, As well as Management of finances, Leadership, and Communication. In the long run, it is the combination of all of the above points that will drive innovation, create jobs, and strengthen a country's economy. One month ago I had the privilege of participating in the EU Sparks for Climate​ Madrid Hackathon, where we utilized the Design Thinking methodology to tackle some of the most pressing climate challenges. With all the hustle of the end of the academic course I didn’t have time to announce that my teamates Javier Rodríguez Pascual, Zeliha ŞAHİN ÇAĞLI and I, with and our mentor Julián Rodríguez emerged victorious! 🌱🏆 This journey was incredibly enriching and taught us the true power of collaboration and innovation. Working alongside passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds, we were able to combine our unique perspectives and skills to create impactful solutions for our planet. I want to extend a huge thank you to all the participants who brought their energy, creativity, and dedication to the table. Your hard work and enthusiasm were truly inspiring. A heartfelt thank you to the jury (Irene Rodríguez Sánchez, Pedro Salazar Díaz-Marta, Verónica G. Javier Martín Sanz and Lorenza Moreno) for recognizing our efforts and for their invaluable feedback and guidance throughout the competition. 🌐 Blockchain Adoption in Spanish Enterprises: 1 in every 10 companies in Spain is working with blockchain. A recent study by EAE Business School and Blockchain Catalunya reveals that 10% of Spanish companies are now using blockchain technology. This growth is prominent not just in banking, where blockchain is primarily used to innovate, but across various sectors including healthcare, education, and supply chains. Interestingly, while 69% of respondents view blockchain as a strategic priority, only 23% see it as a main line of activity. This suggests that while the enthusiasm for the technology is high, its full and effective integration might still be in the developmental stage. This overview offers insight into how blockchain is steadily becoming a key player in Spain’s business and economic landscape, promising significant transformations worth watching.
