I was delighted to be one small cog in the machine that pulled this webinar together to mark #InternationalWomensDay with Ireland's Women in Finance Charter and IOB. I was inspired by some of the work going on in our signatory organisations and I look forward to working with my Charter partners in Irish Funds, Banking & Payments Federation Ireland, Financial Services Ireland (FSI) and Enterprise Ireland and supporting organisations like IOB to deliver more events to improve gender diversity in financial services throughout the year. ♀️ Ireland's Women in Finance Charter was delighted to be able to host a special webinar with IOB yesterday to mark #InternationalWomensDay. During the session, we heard from the Charter's Steering Group Chair Fiona Gallagher talk about her experience with the Charter, becoming the Chair of the Steering Group and her experience of being a woman in finance. We have signed Ireland's Women in Finance Charter, an initiative led by industry and supported by Government with the aim of increasing participation of women at all levels within Financial Services organisations based in Ireland. Today, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism, and Employment, Peter Burke TD, joined the co-chairs of Balance for Better Business Carol Andrews and Bernard Byrne to launch our Seventh Annual report at the IDA Ireland offices in Dublin. Our report calls for all organisations to put a plan in place to achieve 40%+ female representation on boards and leadership teams and highlights the positive business impact that a gender balanced workforce can deliver. With the shrinking size of the ISEQ20 Index representing a smaller proportion of Irish business, Balance for Better Business is putting an increased focus on encouraging and supporting progress in privately held companies, who represent a larger proportion of the economy. Congratulations to Balance For Better Business on their 7th Annual Report launch yesterday. It was great to hear Minister Peter Burke call out Ireland's Women in Finance Charter as an example of an initiative moving the dial on gender balance. FSI is delighted to work with Balance For Better Business and values the support from them developing Ireland's Women in Finance Charter.

A challenge we hear is how they can firms support their colleagues as they work towards achieving their Charter targets. Career coaching is one of them.
