🚀 Rafael is proud to have successfully completed the largest and most complex live-fire test of the Iron Dome. 🚀 In partnership with the Israel Missile Defense Organization (IMDO) at the Ministry of Defense, Rafael has concluded a historic test series for the Iron Dome—validating new capabilities against advanced aerial threats, including rockets, cruise missiles, and UAVs. These tests incorporated insights from real-world battlefield scenarios, ensuring that Iron Dome continues to evolve in response to emerging threats. Over the past year and a half, Rafael’s engineers have worked tirelessly to push the system’s performance even further, reinforcing its critical role in Israel’s multi-layered air and missile defense array. During the visit, the Defense Minister was presented with Rafael’s cutting-edge air defense systems, including Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and the Iron Beam high-energy laser system, which is set to be delivered to Israel’s defense establishment later this year. Rafael Hosts U.S. Congressional Delegation at Northern Israel Facility Dr. Yuval Steinitz, Chairman of Rafael, welcomed a delegation of U.S. Republican Congress members at one of the company’s facilities in northern Israel. The delegation, led by Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and organized in collaboration with AIEF, aimed to engage in discussions on strategic cooperation between the United States and Israel. During the visit, the delegation toured Rafael’s visitor center and received briefings on the company’s advanced defense systems, including Iron Beam, Iron Dome, and David’s Sling. They were also updated on additional jointly developed systems that are part of the broader U.S.-Israel defense ecosystem. 🇮🇳Rafael Furthering Self Reliance at Aero India 2025! BDL & RAFAEL Advance Strategic Collaboration on Spike LR2 Missile Manufacturing in India Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. (Rafael) and Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) are advancing a landmark partnership that will culminate in a Technical Collaboration Agreement (TCA) to formalize plans for the local production of the Spike LR2, a 5th-generation anti-tank guided missile (ATGM). This collaboration builds upon a previous Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which laid the groundwork for the strategic partnership between BDL and Rafael. The TCA is poised to enable a significant transfer of manufacturing capabilities and critical technologies, aligning with the Government of India’s “Make in India” initiative and meeting the Ministry of Defence’s Indigenous Content (IC) requirements. In addition to the LR2, Rafael and BDL are reaffirming their cooperation on the SPIKE ER2. The companies are working together to establish a robust production framework for this next-generation missile, aimed at enhancing the operational capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces’ helicopter fleets. This effort highlights the shared commitment of BDL and Rafael to addressing India’s defense needs while advancing self-reliance in defense manufacturing.
