Zooming in and out of the human brain! The 1st session of #SugarRushWithScience 2025 saw two power-packed neuroscience themed talks at CCAMP! Laina Emmanuel, Co- Founder & CEO BrainSightAI, delved into the nitty gritty of AI enabled brain connectomics and how they can predict, mediate and monitor detection, therapy and rehabilitation of serious neuropsychiatric disorders such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia and their immediately available product suite VoxelBox that can help neurosurgeons take better informed decisions on improving outcomes in neurosurgeries Dr Hiyaa Ghosh, Associate Prof, National Centre for Biological Sciences outlined how the brain responds during stress. She explained the role of neural stem cells in stress resilience, what causes neuro-inflammation and how a specific gene, Tcf4 plays a key role in adult neurogenesis.
