Wondering what’s new in the world of social media? Here’s a quick roundup to keep you in the loop: 👉 Instagram is updating their repost feature! Users can now repost directly to their feeds and not just their stories. Tapping the repost icon under a post or reel lets you add a caption to make it appear like a regular post and boost reach and engagement. Reposts will also have a dedicated tab on the profile page for better content discovery. 👉 Facebook is reviving the “OG” vibe with a Friends tab. Meta is bringing back a friends-only feed for posts, stories, and reels, shifting the focus to personal updates over artificial intelligence (AI)-driven content. With birthday reminders, friend requests, and online status all in one place, it’s a step towards making Facebook feel more like it used to. 👉 If you’re on Telegram Premium and X Premium, you can now chat with Grok AI directly on Telegram. The chatbot offers witty, real-time insights and is here to compete with ChatGPT. This move extends X’s AI reach beyond its platform, signalling its broader ambition to integrate AI into everyday digital conversations. 👉 Instagram’s long-awaited Edits app is slated for release in the coming weeks. While the app will launch for free, Meta may later introduce premium AI-powered features. With tools like AI-generated backgrounds and image animation, Edits will offer a sleek new way to create content beyond Instagram’s built-in features. 👉 YouTube is doubling down on creator success with upgraded tools and smarter ideation. New AI-powered features like "Hooks" for engaging intros, "Brainstorm from anywhere" for content ideas, and "Quick saves" to store concepts are making content planning seamless. It’s all part of YouTube’s push to keep creators ahead of the curve. #YouTube #ContentCreation #Shorts #AI #SocialMediaTrends

Did you know tech powerhouse Samsung Electronics started out as an exporter of dried fish and noodles? Back in 1938, Samsung was founded in Korea as a food trading business, shipping dried fish, flour, and noodles to China. By the 1950s and 60s, they branched into insurance, textiles, and even petrochemicals. Talk about a career switch! Then came the game-changer: Samsung Electronics in 1969. Their first product was a black-and-white TV in 1970. Fast forward a few decades, and now they’re well established in the field of smartphones, artificial intelligence, and futuristic tech—an innovation hub the world recognises as today. The takeaway here is to never be afraid to evolve. Your next pivot might just change the world. #Samsung #TechThrowback #DidYouKnow #BrandingTips #Innovation

The Power of Behind-the-Scenes Content in Humanising Your Brand Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes (BTS) at your favourite brands? BTS content isn’t just about polished ads—it’s where the real magic happens! It gives audiences an unfiltered glimpse into the people, processes, and passion driving a brand. In a world saturated with advertisements and promotions, BTS content makes brands seem more relatable and human. 👉 Authenticity Builds Trust BTS content works because it’s authentic. Consumers connect with the genuine, unscripted moments rather than overly produced marketing campaigns. Take Bombay Shaving Company, which often shares clips of product formulations, packaging trials, and team discussions. This transparency makes the brand feel approachable and trustworthy. 👉 Creating an Emotional Connection By revealing the effort that goes into a product or campaign, BTS content deepens the connection with the audience. When The Walt Disney Company shares footage of animators recreating classics like The Lion King or Aladdin, alongside interviews with the original voice actors, it evokes nostalgia. Fans relive childhood memories while witnessing the magic being reimagined, strengthening their bond with the legacy brand. 👉 An Engagement Magnet BTS content is also an engagement magnet, sparking curiosity and conversations. A case in point? Zomato’s playful videos of their social media team brainstorming tweets and footage of their rapid warehouse operations. This content blurs the line between brand and audience, inviting people to be a part of the journey rather than passive consumers. 👉 Document, Don’t Stage To get BTS content right, brands need to focus on documenting rather than staging—whether team celebrations, product testing mishaps, or even creative brainstorming. Chumbak Design Pvt. Ltd., for example, frequently shares snippets of artists designing new prints, which reinforces the brand’s vibrant, homegrown appeal. 👉 Real Voices as Brand Advocates Featuring employees, creators, and founders makes a brand more and relatable and gives real voices a platform. Good BTS content does more than just show what happens behind closed doors; it also makes audiences feel like insiders. This connection turns passive followers into engaged brand advocates, strengthening trust and loyalty. If you’re looking for advice on how to strengthen your brand strategy, reach out to us at info@dharmamedia.in! Our team of experts will be happy to show you the way. #BehindtheScenes #BrandStorytelling #MarketingTips #AuthenticContent

India’s startup ecosystem is on the brink of a historic shift, with 20+ startups set to launch initial public offerings (IPOs) in 2025. The trend reflects a growing preference for listing in India rather than global markets, fuelled by strong liquidity, regulatory support, and growing investor confidence. In a conversation with Peerzada Abrar of Business Standard, Anil Joshi, Founder and Managing Partner, Unicorn India Ventures, and Member, Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA)’s VC Council, spotlights the growing participation in Indian IPOs. "Indian startups have demonstrated stronger performance compared to their global counterparts, making IPOs a more attractive proposition for both companies and investors. Retail participation in the market has surged almost fourfold in four to five years, bringing in a new wave of investors," he noted. As SEBI's new IPO norms improve due diligence and environmental, social, and governance compliance, India is solidifying its position as the preferred destination for high-growth startups to go public. #StartupIPO #IndiaGrowthStory #VentureCapital #PrivateEquity #StartupEcosystem #IVCA #InvestIndia

The best answer depends on the brand and its audience, but consumer backlash is usually the biggest challenge. People form emotional connections with brand mascots like the Amul Girl, Michelin Man, or the old Pepsi Globe. A sudden change can trigger negative reactions, making it hard for consumers to accept the new identity. That being said, if done right, it can bring big dividends. A case in point is McDonald's bringing back Uncle O'Grimacey this year after decades, reviving nostalgia for the Shamrock Shake. The revival turned a forgotten mascot into a viral sensation, which worked in favour of the brand. What do you think? Would you welcome a mascot change or resist it?
