The newly constructed reservoir in Jitkundi, Giridih, is a groundbreaking development for the village, providing a reliable water source throughout the year. Built as part of NITI Aayog’s Rejuvenation Window-II, this reservoir is one of 5,132 water bodies being rejuvenated in the district to tackle water scarcity. The project incorporates advanced techniques, like Trench Cum Bunds and soak pits, improving water conservation and agricultural productivity. As a result of this initiative by the Government of India, residents of Jitkundi are witnessing not only increased crop yields but also better quality harvests. A shining example of how strategic governance and community-focused solutions are paving the way for sustainable growth.   • During the National Workshop on 'Scaling up Electric Mobility & Charging Infra: Role of States/UTs’ , Dr. V.K. Paul, Member, NITI Aayog, highlighted the Government's vision to implement E-ambulances and create Low/Ultralow Emission Zones around healthcare facilities. Dr. Hanif Qureshi from the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) and Shri Mahmood Ahmed from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) participated in the workshop alongside representatives from Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, IIT Roorkee, and the Association of State Road Transport Undertakings. The session showcased achievements and best practices in E-mobility. Additionally, Dr. Hanif Qureshi from MHI and Shri Shashank Mishra from the Ministry of Power (MoP), along with officials from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), engaged with representatives from Madhya Pradesh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, and IIT Jammu. The discussions centered on building a robust EV backbone and enhancing charging infrastructure to facilitate the mass adoption of electric vehicles. Ms. Nidhi Khare, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and Dr. Anita Gupta, Department of Science and Technology(DST), discussed capacity-building initiatives in E-Mobility with representatives from Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Assam, and IIT Delhi at the National Workshop on Electric Mobility.
