What is CPV in influencer marketing? Cost per view determines the cost of the video deliverable by the influencer. How to calculate it? ▶ Divide your total cost by the total number of video views CPV varies category to category- ▶ Serious categories like personal finance, news and infotainment usually charges a higher cpv from 0.5 to 1 depending on the avg viewership and popularity of the channel ▶ Whereas entertainment, comedy and other non-serious categories mostly depend on the face-value to determine cpv In my experience, the lower cpv channels have been fact channels, animation channels, mythology story channels.

Exciting times for the Indian advertising market! 🚀 According to IPG Mediabrands Magna Global Advertising Forecast 2024, the Indian ad market is set to grow by 11.8% to reach ₹1,22,155 Cr in 2024 driven primarily by digital media with strong growth also observed in traditional media. 📊Key highlights 1) Traditional media revenue will grow by 8.4% to ₹64,398 Cr.(TV ,Print, Radio and OOH) 2) Digital media is poised to grow faster at almost 16%, reaching ₹57,757 Cr due to the expansion of internet base. 3) Despite being outpaced by digital, traditional media may receive 53% of all ad spend with digital media taking up the remaining 47%. 4) India's traditional media market share is twice that of global (29%) and APAC(24%) size. 🔍Insights 1) As per the report, Social and search could garner 34% and 33% of the digital ad pie respectively. 2) Display and video will follow with 19% and 14% respectively. 3) TV ad revenues in 2024 are projected to grow by 8.7% to reach an estimated ₹39,333 Cr driven by election and cricket. Also said that TV reaches 778 million viewers and overall time spent increased to 230 minutes. 4)Print media (itself as a most trustworthy source of information) will grow at 6.1% (estimated ₹18,771 Cr) and digital print revenue is estimated to be ₹1,300 Cr. Did the demo yesterday of the self certificate ecosystems created by MIB for advertisers to be part of the self certification ecosystem as per order of the supreme court . Brace for impact. Here is my take . 1. Easy to use 2. Difficult due to scale 3. Who in the organization will sign it off . 4. Which agency will take liability of the creative. 5. Every thing you put out in public has to be self certified . Social media post to events calendar posts to meme. 6. Mediation ecosystems will not be able to work as they would not be able to get all relevant info on the advertisements either as bid information or header. 40% plus I believe of media spends is programmatic. How does the certificate info flow into these ecosystems . 7. Small shop owners ,SME, SMB, this is additional compliance . 8. Dynamic ads , retargeting ads , product feedads , product carrousel ads . How will they get certified. 9. User behavior based AI ads how will they get certified. 10. AI, avatar based advertising conversation . how will that get approved . 11. inhouse Ads eg. netflix advertising their series on Netflix . or Times prime on TOI will they also need to be certified. 12. Regulated industry like insurance , trading, banking it's an additional portal to upload the creative. 13. Pharma / Food / FMCG / Nutraceutical it will be a pain. 14. 18th is the D-Day. Brace for impact. One observations who takes certification for advertisers coming from outside India . One side conversation : Betting , RMG.. how does this work on certification . category is banned on platforms butbthey fine ways with invideo placements . will that also have to be certified. One hack . competition mapping will become so much easier. All you have to do is go to these portals and see what your competitors are uploading and replicate or attack faster. last but not the least will these portals hold due to deluge of certifications . will it hold from a tech and scale perspective. Google's Performance Max has been around for almost 3 years now and with umpteen examples from advertisers, the importance of Brand exclusion cannot be overstated. If you have Brand Search campaigns active, you need to exclude Brand keywords from PMax. Results from 2 experiments for 2 different regions - (B2B client, optimizing for signups): 💡 - Two separate Experiments conducted using 'Test Uplift of PMax' for 2 regions. For both, the control group were 6 comparable search campaigns while the treatment group were those 6 campaigns + PMax 🆎 - The setup across both was similar except one key difference. The first experiment had Brand exclusions in place while the second did not 🆚 - The first one showed Stat insignificant results for conversions, while the second one(without Brand exclusion) gave stat significant results declaring PMax+ Search combination as the winner 📈 - Search term insights for second experiment was dominated by brand terms 🔍 Aside to any regional nuances, it was clear the Brand performance 'improved' the results of the second experiment. As for the first, there wasn't enough incrementality achieved in favor of PMax and we continued to test different optimization methods post the experiment. 📉 PMax Will cannibalize with your Search campaigns so Brand exclusion for it becomes necessary to ensure Brand Search runs effectively ✔ Non Brand Search could get also cannibalized by PMax due to Search Themes.
