The place where this is most prevalent is in the data center infrastructure. Most data centre infrastructure has not seen a single upgrade since they were setup during the battle of 2000 or 2005. Over the same period the offices in general have had at least one if not two makeovers. Dharmapuri: Unavailability of sugarcane in local markets hit jaggery production in district Dharmapuri: There’s a shortage of sugarcane in the local markets, which is causing a big problem for jaggery production in the district. Jaggery makers are losing money because they have to buy sugarcane from other states, reported The New Indian Express. In the district, making jaggery is an important small business, and many people rely on it for work. But because there’s not enough water, sugarcane isn’t growing well, so the jaggery makers have to get it from places like Karnataka. This makes it more expensive to make jaggery. Buying sugarcane from other states costs more than buying it locally. With other costs like paying workers and running the business, the price of jaggery might go up soon. Each jaggery-making unit usually makes around 25 to 30 tons of jaggery every month. But because of the water shortage and hot weather, it’s getting more expensive to make jaggery. I am highly disappointed to Mrs. NIRMALA Sitaram Budget FY 24-25. Stop Givibg Free Vibes .., The Indian budget for FY 2024 has several aspects that might be viewed as disadvantages or demerits for the middle class. Here are a few key points: 1. Tax Bracket Adjustments While there were some changes in tax slabs, many middle-class taxpayers felt that the adjustments were insufficient and did not significantly reduce their tax burden. 2. **Limited Relief on High Inflation**: The budget did not introduce significant measures to address the high inflation rate that affects essential goods and services, which disproportionately impacts the middle class. 3. **Lack of Significant Tax Deductions**: The budget did not offer new or enhanced tax deductions that could benefit the middle class, such as those for home loans, education loans, or healthcare expenses. 4. **No Increase in Standard Deduction**: The standard deduction remained unchanged, which some middle-class taxpayers felt should have been increased to keep pace with rising living costs. 5. **Limited Measures for Employment Generation**: 6. **Indirect Tax Increases**: Increases in indirect taxes on certain goods and services could lead to higher costs for the middle class

One stock which should be on your radar is Narayana Hrudayalaya(NH). It belongs to health care sector. Company with great fundamentals, clean accounting and prudent capital allocation track record. Noted cardiologist Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty is the founder promoter of NH. Under his visionary leadership and proven track record NH has established as one of the go to hospitals for cardiology related ailments, predominantly. They have expanded their footprints outside Bangalore with hospital chains in places like Kolkata, Cayman Islands etc. NH is growing at a healthy rate. The cashflow they generate from their core business they prudently use it for expansion and building capacities. NH is one of the few hospitals to implement robotic assisted surgeries. Their asset lite model approach saves them from heavy Capex and gives better return on Assets. Instead of owning they lease the properties. They opened their facility in Cayman Island targeting the US patients. The current situation is such that they are struggling with capacity to service the local residents. They are increasing the No. Of beds at all their locations They recently launched health insurance which is another growth lever. Why this stock looks good to me for longer-term? 1) India is transitioning from emerging economy to an advanced market. Direct result of this is rising disposable income. When this happens people do not hesitate to spend on consumption and health care. We have seen this during covid when people didn't mind spending on premium health care. NH will be a direct beneficiary of consumption boom ahead of us. 2) India has a young working age population. People are spending more on leisure, eating out more. This trend is going to continue. Sedentary lifestyle results in lifestyle diseases like cardiovascular etc. NH will have a prominent role to play in treating future patients. 3) With presence outside India they have taken care of concentration risk 4) Their foray into health insurance is another growth lever. 5) NH's brand recall is very good This is one of their strongest moats. Patients stickiness is very high considering their impeccable track record. Today health insurance is no more a luxury instead a quintessential need. With medical, hospitalization costs going through the roof, people have realized the need for having a good health insurance than ever before. With 32 times Price to earnings multiple, long terminal value of cashflows and huge runway for growth the stock definitely looks undervalued to me at the moment. NH can be a portfolio stock and if held for longer term has immense potential to give excellent returns from hereon.

Great to see some of the #Startups doing excellent work in green and paperless #manufacturing and #utilities, solving deep industrial problems which I have been chasing for some time using #IOT and #AI! My two cents which I shared a) Industry Academia tech collaboration is must to root out industry problems to achieve higher efficiency, productivity, waste reduction and green earth. b) There are plenty of problems to solve. c) Precision is not about technology alone, without precision of data and business knowledge, to get tangible return. d) Industry looks at returns. CIO / CDOs have to step up. Business leaders must understand the nuances of technologies.

Till late 80’s and 90’s India used to produce 70-80% of pharmaceuticals raw material required by its pharmaceutical industry. Then came cheap Chinese API (Active pharmaceutical ingredient), due to incentives and modern technology by Chinese government. Slowly all small and medium companies died, since they cannot match the price. Till 2004-05 when pharma industry become fully dependent on these Chinese raw materials, they increase the price up to 5 times, covering earlier losses. Today India import 80-90% of API from China and they drive the prices. It will take decades for India to rebuild this manufacturing again. Similarly till 2020 Chinese EV market share in Europe was 1.9%, which in 2024 become 14.1%, again same strategy, cheap car with heavy subsidy from government, it’s not fair for European companies. We can clearly see the pattern. If it will not stop slowly they will kill this market as well, so I am happy at least EU union decided to go ahead with tariff implementation plan for Chinese EV.
