    Over two decades, in two stints, I worked across multiple roles and divisions in the Times of India Group. These ranged from startup roles across our music, TV News, education ventures to brand, strategy and business development roles across Print and the Ads-for-Equity businesses.

    There were three broad arcs to my career at The Times Group
    - Kickstarted / supported launch of startup businesses such as Times Music, Times Now, Bennett University, Times’s licensing venture (e.g., Femina…

    Over two decades, in two stints, I worked across multiple roles and divisions in the Times of India Group. These ranged from startup roles across our music, TV News, education ventures to brand, strategy and business development roles across Print and the Ads-for-Equity businesses.

    There were three broad arcs to my career at The Times Group
    - Kickstarted / supported launch of startup businesses such as Times Music, Times Now, Bennett University, Times’s licensing venture (e.g., Femina Flaunt)
    - Acquired a deep understanding of strategy & corporate development functions from my stints across the Print businesses
    - Supported our Vice-Chairman Mr Samir Jain as his Chief of Staff towards the latter part of the stint. This was an add-on to my existing role.

    Sandwiched between the two stints in Times was a near 3-year stint with a company called Infomedia India (yellow pages, B2B mags etc). It doesn’t exist now. It was sold by the PE fund ICICI Venture, which ‘owned’ them to Network18, who made a hash of it. There is an HBS case study waiting to be written about Infomedia, primarily from the lens of disruption.
