Pushpa 2: The Rule – A Reflection on Entertainment, Escapism, and Balance The movie Pushpa 2: The Rule has emerged as a massive success, amassing over ₹1500 crore in revenue. Yet, beneath this triumph lies a troubling phenomenon. The already wealthy have, in essence, drawn this wealth from the pockets of the less privileged. Among those flocking to the cinemas, a portion undoubtedly belongs to lower-income groups. Viewed strictly as a business transaction, it appears fair—money is exchanged for entertainment. But is it really so different from the sale of a drug? A drug offers fleeting relief, a temporary escape, much like a movie that lifts spirits momentarily, only to leave its audience no better than before. Actors, directors, and producers carve out careers of extraordinary wealth and acclaim, while the audiences they captivate often walk away with little but an empty glow. Some go so far as to idolize these stars, immersing themselves in their songs, scenes, and performances, wasting hours replaying them on platforms like YouTube. Time slips away, and with it, their potential to rise in their own lives. It’s as though the entertainment industry peddles a subtle sedative, lulling the masses into complacency, ensuring they find solace in illusion rather than seeking fulfillment in reality. This pattern extends far beyond cinema. Sports, too, belong to this grand edifice of distraction. While it’s perfectly acceptable for movie stars and athletes to pursue their professions and build careers, the unintended consequence is that many among us grow numb, lost in the spectacle, failing to nurture our own aspirations and achievements. So, what is the answer? Should we abandon movies, sports, and entertainment altogether? Such a notion feels extreme, even joyless. After all, life requires moments of lightness, of delight. The solution, then, lies in vigilance—a deliberate awareness of how we engage with entertainment. Here, the concept of selfishness takes an unexpected turn. Often seen as a vice, selfishness can be reimagined as a virtue when rightly directed. Consider the office worker who toils diligently, aiming for career advancement or a well-earned promotion. This, too, is a form of selfishness—a positive one, rooted in growth and reward. In the same way, we must approach entertainment with constructive selfishness. Let it serve us when needed—when the body and mind are weary from honest labor. There is no harm in indulging in a film or a match after a long day’s work. Sometimes, the best entertainment finds us serendipitously—a compelling series on Netflix or a thrilling Manchester United vs. Arsenal game. These moments feel almost orchestrated by the universe, arriving as gifts when we need them most, a quiet synchronicity affirming that we deserve a little joy. The key is balance: to let entertainment enrich our lives without letting it consume them, to savor it as a spice, not a staple. #pushpa2 #pushpa2therule

On a lazy day, stumbled upon this masterpiece from the great Amitabh Bachchan on how to deal with life challenges and felt like sharing it here. According to him, if things don't happen according to your wish, it's even better. This is because they are happening according to the wish of some Divine force, and that Divine force will never think ill about you. So you have to respect that as being better. Life is a struggle, and as long as there is life, there is going to be struggle. If we accept this, we will be better prepared to deal with the challenges that come our way. We should not sit in despondency, but rather be aware that tomorrow is another day, which could be profitable or not, but eventually there will be another day when we can start trying all over again. The fear of those ugly moments recurring is perhaps what drives us every day. I just wanted to let everyone know about a new product named - Frruit , its a free AI powered capital markets search engine where you can ask a question like a normal Internet Search or ChatGPT Search. I have started using this and it has given some good insights and a better understanding of what's happening using premium real time data and AI. It does need more data to be integrated but I think it's a good tool which is going to be enhanced by the team over the coming months with additional data sources. The Indian government document that "Invites Applications for Empanelment of Agencies to Provide AI Services on Cloud" https://lnkd.in/dhaT-QgA solidifies the notion of sovereign AI. Every major economy is going to mandate AI clouds for government departments and sensitive industries to be on their soil. This is going to create a massive growth of GPUaaS providers around the world, each catering to the unique requirements of their citizens. On a separate note, I was very impressed with the document. Hyderabad Gen AI plans for startups might need a reboot, but Hyderabad certainly has the best community driven open source ecosystem and research centers when compared with other cities. IIIT-H is working on cutting edge research in gen AI. Swecha and the community have already shown through Chandamama Kathalu and Gonthuka projects how to collect crowd sourced data and build eco friendly models. We have already collected 100 million tokens in Telugu and plan to complete a billion tokens in Telugu within the next 6 months. We are training 1 lakh interns within the next couple of months. And of course at Ozonetel, we are building cutting edge AI in CX which no one else in the world is building. I can't think of any other city with such a wide variety of activities across society in Gen AI :)

Bollywood's lessons on Requirements Management , Reusabilty and Product Innovation: I remember songs from Rajesh Khanna's ' Kati Patang' [ quite literally, 'A Cut Kite' ] being played on radio - one song that is played to this day is 'Yeh Shyaam Masatani' [ 'This Beautiful Evening' ] . One day , during my first IT Business Analysis engagement in independent practice on a US based regulatory reporting project , a colleague told me that the song was similar to a Bengali song titled ' Aakaash Kyaano Daakey' [ 'Why Does The Sky Summon' ] . He pulled up the song and we heard it together during a break. Both songs had been rendered by Kishore Kumar. It set me thinking - if you could reuse songs across different regional languages , you could reuse Software Requirements across projects in the same or in different domains, say banking or insurance. NPA [Non Performing Assets] , for instance , apply across different lending products. Requirements pertaining to NPA's are reusable if managed scientifically. This way , you reduce software development timelines because reusabilty shortens the requirements elicitation phase, thereby improving overall time to market which is critical for product companies. As a Business Analyst , you can develop and enhance requirements reusability skills by practicing to spot similarities in movie themes, songs and also appearances. I remember reading that there exist in this world , for each individual , 6 other people who look much the same as that individual although you will likely never meet them since they may be located across continents. In today's digital age , you may well spot one on the net though if you practice honing reusabilty skills. You may even show such similarities to your team to encourage them to practice spotting similar/reusable software requirements. Amitabh Bachchan's 'Deewar' offers a great tip on product innovation. The story goes that the actor's shirt in the movie was much too long ,reaching his knees - he tied it in a knot such that it looked rather fashionable. I realized how innovative it really was when I repeated the experiment during a role play as part of a classroom training. It did look very trendy and you wouldn't know that it was , in fact , originally a tailoring error that never made any negative impact on the final product release due to sharp presence of mind and an innovative mindset. You will always have your share of detractors - people who will present a problem for every solution you offer but if you stay fully immersed in your work , they will end up being spontaneously ignored. Making the best use of what you have on projects through reusability and innovation yields positive results as long as you stay focused on the right things and ignore trivialities. In his recent visit to India NVIDIA Founder/CEO Jensen Huang spoke about, Super Humans (Emoloyees) and agents. Hearing his speech in Mumbai, I think the future of employee pyramid organization would look like this - Section 1 at the top : Super Humans/Employees: Who will use AI Agents to improve the efficiency and quality of their outcome. The use of these trained agents will give head start to these Super Employees in their function in achieving and/or fulfilling their tasks much faster   Section 2 in the middle : AI Agents: AI Companies like NVIDIA and their ecosystem partners will flood the market with such agents , and the cost of these agents will only go down with time and scale as more and more functions and companies will adopt them in their businesses   Section 3 at the bottom : Employees (Traditional): who will see the rise of these super humans (employees). These employees will (have to) migrate to Super Humans (employees) using agents’ day today.   I believe children who are still under 16, will all (mostly) be super humans (employees), knowing how to use agents by default without a need to train them in their chosen field   This Pyramid will be inverted soon, with The great migration on the horizon, your opportunity to embrace and participate in this migration is now!

SaaS + Gen AI + Services An excellent opportunity worth $1.6 trillion is presented in the AI SaaS India Opportunity Report by Upekkha. The authors include Thiyagarajan Maruthavanan (Rajan) and Prasanna Krishnamoorthy My best takeaway from the report: 1. “Own the entire outcome” provide software as well as services. This expands TAM from $250B to $1.6T 2. Gen AI + Software + Services categorization will grow faster than the SaaS industry 3. Among such leading organizations are research centers at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) and the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi), intelligent life sciences company Innoplexus and AI-led medical diagnostics platform provider 5C Network. Central to their work are NVIDIA NIM microservices, including the new Nemotron-4-Mini-Hindi 4B microservice for building sovereign AI applications and large language models (LLMs) in the #Hindi language.
