If you are just starting with your Google search ads account, you can divide your strategy into phases . Have a long term view of execution and define the phases this way - For starting Google Search Ads in 2025, the strategy can be divided into the following phases: 1. Research and Planning Duration - 1-2 Weeks Look for your competition, keyword selection, search volumes, cost estimates, business plan projections. 2. Campaign Structure and Setup Duration - 1-2 Weeks Think through your account structure, campaign types & structure, keywords, ad group structure, as copies, tracking ( Google Analytics, Tag Manager etc ). Execute patiently as this is the foundation stone. 3. Initial Testing and Data Collection Duration - 3-4 Weeks Launch small budget campaigns even if you have scale to go way beyond. The data collected during this phase will give you idea about spends, individual campaign / ad group / ad level performances. It will guide you towards next phase while informing you if things are working as expected. Monitor closely. 4. Optimization and Scaling Duration - 4-6 Weeks Refine your keyword strategy, CPA goals, campaigns budgets, new ad copies and double down on what is working. Stop what is not making sense or you are not sure of it. 5. Landing Page Optimizations Duration - 8-12 Weeks Try variations of landing pages and do A/B testing. Because they will have to work on other harder problems. - Solve for landing page conversion rates - Solve for data tracking, channel attribution , accuracy - Solving for sales pipeline and sales led growth - Solving for growth through product led growth - Solve revenue growth using content marketing, short videos - Solve for growth from search engine optimisation - Solve for retention and growth using CRM / CLM - Solve for lower commissions from clients but more work There is no point in hiding from these problems. I can tell you something from my personal experience. Low budgets / restrictions bring more creativity & ideas. It becomes a great opportunity to learn lot of new skills. Spotify India has reduced its net loss by 58% to ₹143 crore in the 2023-24 fiscal year, compared to ₹343 crore in the previous year. While operating expenses saw a slight dip of 2.4% to ₹492 crore, the company notably increased its advertising and marketing spends by 4% to ₹386 crore, signalling its focus on expanding user engagement and brand visibility. The company achieved revenue growth, with operating income jumping 93% to ₹321 crore, up from ₹166 crore in the previous fiscal. This growth was fueled by a 114% rise in advertising revenue, which reached ₹135 crore, and a 90% surge in subscription revenue to ₹167 crore. Personnel expenses also rose 35% to ₹85 crore, reflecting investments in talent to support the company's growth initiatives.
