Sriti Jha

Sriti Jha is an Indian television actor who currently plays the female lead in popular show Kumkum Bhagya. Sriti made her acting debut at the age of 20, with Disney India's teen drama Dhoom Machaao Dhoom where she played the role of Malini Sharma. She was a prt of the show for two years. She went on to become a household name in 2009 when she appeared in daily soap Jyoti. Her other TV shows are Jiya Jale, Shaurya Aur Suhani and Rakt Sambandh. Sriti rose to stardom when she played the character of Jhanvi in hit soap Saubhagyavati Bhava, which she did between 20110 and 2013. It was the story about a woman struggling against her abusive husband. Actor Karanvir Bohra played the male lead. her show Kumkum Bhagya began airing in 2014 and she has been a aprt of it ever since. She is paired opposite actor Shabbir Ahluwalia and the two make one of the most favourite current television jodis. Sriti and Shabbir have also won several awards for the same. It even made her a winner at the Indian Telly Awards for two consecutive years. Sriti hails from Begusarai in Bihar and has done her graduation in English Hons. from Delhi's Sri Venkateswara College.
