Fans got to know about Ranveer’s look in Dhurandhar after a leaked video from the shoot found its way online. In fact, fans even compared it to Ranbir Kapoor’s look in Animal. The film was first announced in July 2024 and also stars Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna and Arjun Rampal. As Ranveer announced the film, he shared on his social media, “This one is for my fans, who have been so patient with me, and been clamouring for a turn like this. I love you all, and I promise you, this time, a cinematic experience like never before. With your blessings, we embark on this great, big motion picture adventure with spirited energy and pure intent. This time, it’s personal.”

Ranveer has not appeared in any leading roles since 2023’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Last year, he was seen in a supporting role in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, reprising his role as Simmba. His film Don 3, directed by Farhan Akhtar, was announced in 2023 but the shoot of the film has still not commenced. Earlier this year, Farhan shared that the shoot of the film will begin towards the end of 2025.

Last year, Ranveer welcomed his daughter Dua with wife Deepika Padukone.
