With flip phones now becoming mainstream, smartphone enthusiasts have been waiting for an affordable Samsung flip-style phone for years. In the last few years, several leaks and rumours have hinted that the South Korean phone maker is working on a FE series flip phone, but newly leaked renders of the device suggest that the much rumoured Galaxy Z Flip FE may finally hit the market this year.

According to a newly leaked renders by SammyGuru in collaboration with the known tipster OnLeaks, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will borrow the Z Flip 5’s 3.4-inch cover screen and feature a 6.7-inch inner display. The images also hint that the phone will look almost identical to the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

On the hardware side of things, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is rumoured to be powered by the Exynos 2400e chipset, a slightly toned down version of the Exynos 2400 which made its debut on the Galaxy S24 FE. The back of the phone is said to pack a dual camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultrawide shooter.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 Fe is said to come with One UI 7 based on Android 15 out of the box and get 7 years of software updates and security patches. The report does not shed light on the battery capacity, but China’s 3C regulatory body says it will have 25W wired charging but come without a charging adapter.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Fe alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, which may take place sometime in July.
