🇮🇹 Italy is among the top destinations for the ultra-wealthy and could make better use of this advantage. In a recent Business Insider article, Italy was highlighted as one of the most sought-after destinations for the ultra-wealthy who are looking to relocate through residence-by-investment and citizenship-by-investment programs, known as "golden visas" and "golden passports." Armand Arton, founder of Arton Capital - Empowering Global Citizenship®, shared that among the most requested countries by his clients are Hungary, Greece, the UAE, Antigua and Barbuda, and surprisingly, Italy. However, what’s striking is that many Italians are often unaware of this immense appeal our country holds, and sometimes even tend to block these opportunities and the fiscal policies that enable such investments. Italy’s program, in fact, has long been underrated, as it requires direct investments into the economy, such as the stock market, rather than in real estate, unlike countries such as Greece and Hungary, which heavily incentivize property purchases. Despite these challenges, Italy is seeing growing interest from the ultra-wealthy, especially after Brexit, thanks to a highly attractive fiscal package: until August 2024, new residents can benefit from a flat tax of €100,000 per year on foreign income for 15 years, which has now been increased to €200,000. This regime has drawn investors from countries like the UK, France, and Germany. Italy has enormous potential in the residence-by-investment market, but to fully exploit it, the country and its citizens must recognize the importance of attracting foreign capital. Waste-generated compressed #biomethane: a sustainable solution for the decarbonisation of the mobility sector. Our IVECO brand promoted a study carried out by the Institute of Atmospheric Pollution of the Italian National Research Council (CNR) to evaluate the environmental impact of compressed biomethane. The analysis confirms the decisive role of bio-CNG in the #decarbonisation of the transport sector and the reduction of air pollution in urban areas, with a reduction in climate-changing gases of up to 96% compared to diesel, and a reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions of up to 72%. STAM S.r.l., an Italian #technology company based in Genoa with offices in Rome, Bari, and Cagliari, has been selected by the European Space Agency - ESA as the new technology broker for Italy. A multidisciplinary #engineering consultancy firm with a long tradition in the field of technology transfer and #openinnovation, STAM was founded in 1997 and has since matured extensive experience in #space projects, collaborating with major industrial entities. ESA, in collaboration with Agenzia Spaziale Italiana (ASI), assigned STAM two main objectives: to solve #industrial challenges through the use of innovative space technologies, and to help cutting-edge companies bring their innovations developed for terrestrial environments into the space sector. One of the tools to achieve this is ESA Spark Funding, a #fund dedicated to financing feasibility studies and demonstration projects to test new technological solutions, launched for the first time in #Italy with a budget of €1.35 million. Congratulations to Fluid Wire Robotics for the successful completion of a new #funding operation: Deep Blue Ventures (DBV), the venture capital fund specializing in #DeepTech technologies and managed by Deep Ocean Capital SGR S.P.A., announced a strategic investment in the #startup which brings the overall financing round to a total of €1.2 million! Founded as a spin-off of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa, Italy, Fluid Wire Robotics is a virtuous example of #technologytransfer between university and industry.
