#WarehouseWednesday takes us to our logistics hub in Bria, Central African Republic.📦🚚 The Bria #logistics hub has a storage capacity of 2,400 metric tons and operates four large trucks able to deliver 40 tons of food per rotation. These vehicles are vital for reaching the most remote and hard-to-access areas. Providing food assistance to internally displaced people and Sudanese refugees in the region is no easy task. But the World Food Programme is on the ground, delivering no matter what. Follow our team on this journey 👇🏿

📍 #Colombia: 120 metric tons of WFP-supported food assistance have arrived to help thousands of people still recovering from last year’s devastating floods. This marks the second phase of the World Food Programme's emergency response to the severe winter conditions that hit the Alta Guajira region. ⤵️

#FactFriday Did you know there’s a complex supply chain behind every school meal operation? Sourcing food locally, regionally, and internationally — and delivering it to hundreds of schools at the right time — is no easy task. World Food Programme’s innovative Route The Meals (RTM) is changing the game. This data-driven approach improves supply planning and cuts supply chain costs. 👉 In Venezuela, the cost savings mean 460,000 additional meals for 2,800 children! Swipe below to learn more. Small changes, big impact! 🌍🍽️ #InternationalSchoolMealsDay #ISMD2025

Every day, over 100 million children go to school hungry. The World Food Programme is working with governments to change that — ensuring school-age children get healthy meals so they’re ready to learn. Many school meal programmes source their supplies from local farmers through home-grown school feeding — boosting local economies and building stronger #FoodSystems. 🍎🥦 Watch how WFP #SupplyChain supports home-grown school meals in Haiti, Madagascar, Burkina Faso, Benin, and many more. 🎥👇 #InternationalSchoolMealsDay #ISMD2025

#WarehouseWednesday: Prepositioning is underway in South Sudan, as we race against time before April's rainy season begins. Our team in Juba is loading and transporting bags of wheat from our warehouse to remote communities that will soon be cut off by the flooding. With roads passable for only a short window during the dry season, we’re moving 80% of emergency supplies now—avoiding costly airdrops later and ensuring lifesaving aid reaches those who need it most. This exercise is crucial to support the nearly 7.7 million people facing acute food insecurity across the country. #SupplyChain #Logistics

🚢 4,000 metric tons of dates from Saudi Arabia are on their way to support the World Food Programme’s operations in Honduras, Nigeria, Mozambique, Kenya, Bangladesh, Djibouti, Madagascar, Somalia, and Tajikistan. These highly nutritious dates add great value to WFP’s food basket, helping to ensure that children in schools, refugees in camps, and other groups on the frontlines of hunger receive essential nutrients. From the National Center for Palms & Dates(NCPD) to their final destinations, our dedicated shipping team ensures smooth and timely deliveries—working closely with factories, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and Customs authorities. 📦 Over the years, our team oversaw the transport of 100,000 metric tons of dates donated by KSrelief to support those in need.
