The Nature Conservancy launched the Tuna Transparency Pledge nearly a year ago with the goal of creating a more sustainable tuna supply chain by addressing unsustainable and illegal fishing practices at sea. 🎣 I’m excited that several companies have joined the pledge alongside our original signatories including Carrefour, Aramark, Culimer USA LLC, Lusamerica Foods Inc, and PACIFIC ISLAND TUNA. Together, some of the largest retailers, suppliers, and food service companies in the world have committed to advancing 100% on-the-water monitoring across all industrial tuna fishing vessels within their supply chains or jurisdictions by 2027.
