Providing sustainable, accessible high-speed transportation for all, anytime, with the hyperloop
Over ons
At Hardt Hyperloop, we are realizing global transportation with the hyperloop, that connects cities, countries, and continents in short periods of time. With sustainable and high speed-transportation at our core, we envision a world where distance no longer matters, whether transporting passengers or cargo. The hyperloop systems consists of vehicles that travel through tubes at speeds of 700 km/h, and uses 10x less energy compared to traveling with an airplane. The hyperloop uses magnetic levitation and propulsion in a low-pressure tube, which creates the conditions for sustainable high-speed transport, and reducing our carbon footprint. At Hardt Hyperloop we have the mission to provide sustainable high speed transportation to everyone. To be wherever you want, whenever you want. Through our mission we are growing, innovating, and shaping the future. Join us to be part of the journey and let's build the future of sustainable mobility together.

💡 Roll out of our new project Hyper4Rail! Our new #EU_Rail research project, Hyper4Rail, is advancing hyperloop - a high-speed, low-energy transport system using magnetically levitated trains in near-vacuum tubes. The project unites 27 organisations across 13 countries to: 🚄 Develop a common hyperloop design framework, 🚄 Validate key subsystems (propulsion, vacuum, safety), 🚄 Align hyperloop with Europe’s transport goals, 🚄 Create a roadmap for industrialisation. Sascha Lamme, Program Director of the Hyperloop Development Program, said: “By harmonising our efforts, we are building a unified framework for the future implementation of hyperloop technology. Our focus is on ensuring interoperability within the broader European transport network. Together, we are taking a significant step forward in advancing hyperloop technology for sustainable and high-speed transport across Europe.” Stay tuned for more updates from the project, which is taking a big step toward making hyperloop a reality in Europe! ℹ️ Learn more: https://lnkd.in/d5ejqyQk #Hyperloop #SustainableTransport #Hyper4Rail

The peak of hyperloop testing and demonstration: The European Hyperloop Center The European Hyperloop Center in Groningen has been delivered by Hardt Hyperloop in 2024, serving as Europe's testing ground of hyperloop technology. It consists of 550 meters of hyperloop pipes and has a full lane-switch to demonstrate lane-switching technologies and taking corners with hyperloop. The length from start to finish is 420 meters. Hardt Hyperloop has successfully demonstrated magnetic levitation, guidance, and propulsion system of its hyperloop vehicle on the initial 90-meter segment of the track, achieving a speed of 30 km/hr. Building on this progress, we successfully demonstrated our lane-switching technology by travelling the full 420 meters in both sides of the lane-switch, demonstrating our hyperloop vehicle to seamlessly change lanes without moving parts. Curious about what’s next? Follow us to stay updated on the latest breakthroughs and never miss a moment of our journey! #hyperloop #milestones #development #innovation

A Major Milestone in Hyperloop History: The Low-Speed Test Facility (LSTF) In 2019, a significant milestone in hyperloop development was achieved with the creation of the Low-Speed Test Facility (LSTF). Built in the Netherlands, LSTF became the first real-scale hyperloop prototype, integrating all crucial subsystems for hyperloop transport. The prototype featured a 30-meter-long steel tube with a 2.7-meter diameter, operating at an atmospheric pressure of 0.1% At LSTF, we tested and demonstrated our first generation integrated hyperloop traction solutions, including magnetic levitation, guidance, and propulsion technologies. Even the beginning of a lane-switch was demonstrated inside this tube. These advancements laid as the foundation of current hyperloop systems. Curious about hyperloop developments? Stay tuned for our next highlight! #innovation #hyperloop #prototype #milestones #history

From Concept, to Competition, to a Company: The next step in the Hyperloop Journey Hyperloop sounds more familiar now, but this term is popularized by Elon Musk through its Hyperloop Alpha white paper published in 2012. This term is describing the concept of a low-pressure tube with levitating pods. To drive the innovation, SpaceX launched the Hyperloop Pod Competition (2015-2019) where teams from around the world could design and test their high-speed pods on a test track. This is where the origin of Hardt Hyperloop began. A team from Delft University of Technology University of Technology participated in this competition as Delft Hyperloop and managed to win the first edition of the competition in 2017. From this team, Hardt Hyperloop emerged with the mission to provide high speed sustainable transportation for everyone with a global hyperloop network. What are the next key milestones that led to the point where we are today? Stay tuned for our next series of post! #competition #timeline #innovation #hyperloop

Precision Magnet Testing Using our Magnetic Test Setup. This test setup was specially designed to test and measure full-scale magnets, ensuring they function efficiently for levitation and stability. By precisely positioning our magnets to the tracks, and using advanced force sensors, we collect the data to optimize our magnet performance. The moving platform can move across three axis to test and measure force output in all thinkable positions, up to a max of 2000 kg Here you see our engineer performing a test to validate the levitation magnet's performance model. This data will be used to improve the magnet performance for European Hyperloop Center vehicle tests. This setup has given huge insights in our magnetic performance. If you're looking for a place to conduct magnetic force tests, let us know and we'd love to help! #hyperloop #technology #innovation #magnets

Did you know that the hyperloop concept is actually centuries old? Continue reading to find out how it all started! The word "hyperloop" might be recent, but the idea is much older than you might think. The vision of transporting people at high speeds using tubes and vacuum technology has been around for centuries. It all started in 1799 where the British inventor, George Medhurst, come with the idea of pneumatic tube transport In 1844, he developed a pneumatic railway system for passenger carriages, which remained in operation until 1847. During the mid-1850s, additional pneumatic railways were constructed in Dublin, London, and Paris. Later in 1904 Robert Goddard envisioned the high-speed vacuum tube which brings the foundation for modern hyperloop concepts: magnetically levitated trains trough low pressure tubes. By 1914 Boris Weinberg continued on the idea of a magnetic levitation carriage, which began as a model using 20-meter-long pipes that eventually operated at a speed of 6 km/h. Till the early 2000's the idea didn't came further than theory, scale models, and small demonstration, mainly due to Limited technological possibilities. In the last decades, significant technological advancements have been made in electronics, maglev technology, engineering, and vacuum systems, allowing the hyperloop system to become a reality now. Stay tuned for more information on this in our next post. Do you have another interesting fact about hyperloop in the past? Don't hesitate to share it in the comment! #Hyperloop #history #innovation #transportation
