Last Friday, some of our Swapfiets colleagues participated in Pon’s International Women’s Day Event—an inspiring initiative dedicated to championing women in the workplace. 🚴♀️ ✨ The event featured impactful workshops, engaging discussions, and networking opportunities with incredible women. The focus? Leadership, growth, and inclusion. 🌐 At Swapfiets, we’re committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone has the same opportunity to thrive. Supporting women in leadership and creating spaces for growth is at the heart of our mission. This event was a powerful reminder that there is still a long road ahead. Let’s keep moving forward—together. 🤝

At Swapfiets, cycling is for everyone—and we’re proud to see the number of women growing! 🚲 Across our members, 46% of our members are female and 54% male. Some countries are already shifting gears towards equality: 🇩🇪 Germany is leading the way with 49% female and 51% male cyclists. 🇫🇷 France has reached an even score of 50/50. We’re excited to see a positive trend across our markets but there is still a long road ahead to create safer and more inclusive cycle lanes.

We have a product-as-a-service partnership with Vittoria, this means they are responsible for the ownership, maintenance, and recycling of the tyres. Together, we’re working to extend the lifespan of our tyres and improve puncture resistance. But what happens to our blue tyres when they’ve reached the end of their journey? Instead of going to waste, they’re given a second life thanks to the collaborative efforts of Vittoria Group and esosport ♻️ Our recycled tyres are transformed into playground surfaces for children, basketball courts, and athletic tracks—giving them a whole new purpose. 🌎❤️✨
