  • Showcasing proven capabilities at Patria Arctic Event We recently participated in the Patria Arctic Event 2025, held in the far north of Finland, showcasing two of our core remote weapon system solutions, integrated on Patria’s advanced vehicle platforms. The event gathered close to 300 participants, including partners, end users, and decision-makers. This year’s edition shifted focus from traditional presentations to live, full-scale demonstrations – so-called “steel presentations” – allowing participants to observe system performance in a realistic Arctic setting. “The Arctic Event gave us a unique opportunity to present both the PROTECTOR RS4 and the MCT-30 in a highly relevant environment,” said Gard Brandsæter, Director Market & Sales at Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace. “Demonstrating our systems live on Patria’s vehicles, in demanding terrain and climate, was a great success and sparked valuable discussions with a broad range of stakeholders.” #PatriaArcticEvent #RWS #PROTECTOR

  • Exploring cooperation and opportunities in Lativa Future defence cooperation was one of the key topics on the agenda when Latvia’s President Edgars Rinkevics visited Norway last week. FSi, together with the Embassy of Latvia in Norway and the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA), organised the Norwegian-Latvian Defence Industry Forum in Oslo. This high-level forum brought together key government officials and industry leaders from Norway and Latvia to discuss strategic defence cooperation, security challenges, and industry partnerships. "Both Latvia and Norway have launched ambitions to modernise and develop their national defences. These shared ambitions create opportunities for collaboration. For example, both our countries have a need to develop modern maritime capabilities to protect our seas and coastlines," said Eirik Lie, President of Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace. KONGSBERG has extensive experience in building partnerships and alliances, and we look forward to closer cooperation with Latvian industry. • Long-term agreement signed for F-35 maintenance in Norway ✈️ Kongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services AS has signed a contract with Forsvarsmateriell - Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency for the maintenance and future upgrade requirements of the Norwegian F-35 fighter aircraft in Norway. The agreement has a long-term perspective and is the result of close cooperation between Forsvaret - Norwegian Armed Forces and KONGSBERG. At the new facility, KONGSBERG will, in close cooperation with the Royal Norwegian Air Force, carry out maintenance, upgrades, modifications, and enhancements of the aircraft. The agreement has a duration of up to 15 years. "The establishment of a new maintenance depot in Norway will help retain the expertise and capacity that has been built up over several decades to carry out maintenance and upgrades of Norwegian fighter aircraft in line with the Armed Forces’ needs and priorities," said Eirik Lie, President of Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace. We have previously established an engine depot for the maintenance and upgrade of F135 engines for the aircraft. The new facility will cover approximately 5,000 square metres. With both depots in operation, we will employ more than 200 people at Rygge, Norway. 🔗 Click here to read the full press release: https://brnw.ch/21wRDCb #Maintenance #F35 #DefenceIndustry

  • This week our President Eirik Lie visited Westcon Yards AS in beautiful Florø on Norway’s west coast. KONGSBERG and Westcon, together with other yards along the coast, are ready to take a key role in the realisation of new standardised vessels for the Norwegian Navy. The two companies already have an extensive cooperation through the recently established maintenance contract for the Norwegian frigates. Together with Øystein Matre, CEO of Westcon Yards, and his team, we met local politicians including Mayor Bengt Solheim-Olsen, Øyvind Bank-Olsen and Ola Teigen, as well as Members of Parliament Olve Grotle (H) and Erling Sande (Sp). KONGSBERG is ready to take on the role of strategic partner together with several of the largest shipyards in Norway to contribute to the implementation of a national shipbuilding strategy and secure export opportunities. The vessels will be built domestically and developed in cooperation between the commercial maritime industry and the defence sector. The acquisition of standardised vessels is a great opportunity to strengthen and further develop national competence and readiness in the maritime domain. The export potential is significant, as several nations have expressed interest in the solution. #StandardisedVessels #MaritimeReadiness #Collaboration

  • From Penguin to NEXUS Our missile journey began in the 1960s with the Penguin, Norway’s first domestically developed anti-ship missile. This milestone laid the foundation for decades of innovation, leading to the creation of the Naval Strike Missile (NSM) and Joint Strike Missile (JSM). The NSM was designed to meet the demands of modern naval warfare, while the JSM became the first missile purpose-built for the F-35’s internal weapons bay. Both systems are celebrated for their stealth, precision, and manoeuvrability, redefining naval and aerial defence capabilities. Rising global demand drove the establishment of NEXUS, an advanced missile manufacturing facility in Kongsberg, Norway. Officially opened in 2024, NEXUS stands at the forefront of modern defence manufacturing and marks a major step forward in our capabilities, embracing the latest in digitalisation and Industry 4.0 technologies. 🔗 Click here to read more: https://brnw.ch/21wPmlU #NSM #JSM #DefenceIndustry
