When the machine’s humming and the smiles come easy, you know it’s a good tour🤩 Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming the board of Kongsberg Innovasjon for a visit to Factor47, our test arena for the future of manufacturing and part of Norsk Katapult. Daniel Izadifar fired up the machine, shared some insights on the tech, and showed how we’re working to make it easier for Norwegian industry to test new ideas and think big. Big thanks to the board for stopping by. Always a treat to host people who cheer us on, ask good questions (and manage to keep their hands off the emergency stop 😉)

Building a National Team for the Norwegian Defence Industry! 🛡️ The defence clusters NORDSEC - Nordic Defence and Security Cluster –(Trondheim) and NDC – Norwegian Defence Cluster (Kongsberg) have signed a cooperation agreement. Together, the clusters will mobilize their member companies for increased collaboration, development of joint projects, and sharing of test facilities and services across their networks. A key focus is strengthening small and medium-sized enterprises as suppliers to the defence and security market. – This is a historic day. The largest environments within security, dual-use, and defence are entering into a strategic collaboration to develop opportunities for Norwegian value creation and interests now and in the future, says Ole B. Hoen, CCO of Kongsberg Innovasjon. The clusters are powerhouses for technology development in Norway. Trondheim is known as Norway’s technology capital, with 37,000 students and 5,000 researchers working on groundbreaking projects in ocean industries, healthcare, energy, and digitalization. Kongsberg Technology Park is home to a world-leading high-tech environment with a long history in advanced industry and technology development for defence and security-critical markets – from the ocean floor to outer space. – Together, we want to build a national team with strategically placed innovation ecosystems that enable us to support the breadth of Norwegian technology industries more effectively. Sammen om #grøntindustriløft med Buskerud Næringshage! 💚 Daniel Izadifar besøkte flere bedrifter og delte innsikt i en rekke TBFr (trebokstavforkortelser) 😬 – ERP, PLM, MES, ISA-95 og flere. Store ord kan virke avskrekkende, men det er imponerende hva bedrifter faktisk får til når de har troen på det! 💯 👏 Mange tror at utfordringene til de store industribedriftene i Kongsberg er helt annerledes enn de mindre bedriftene i regionen, men realiteten er at de ofte står overfor de samme hindringene. Felles for dem alle er at digitalisering ikke lykkes uten menneskene og prosessene som skal drive den fremover. For mange initiativ kommer til kort, fordi man ikke har med seg menneskene. Har du et eksempel på et digitaliserings initiativ som ikke strakk helt til? 🤔

Brudeli Green Mobility is testing their Powerhybrid truck to see how hybrid systems can make heavy transport more efficient. They will present their findings at The International Engine Congress in Baden-Baden (Feb 25-26), sharing insights on sustainable mobility.   We're exiting to see Brudeli’s progress on the road!
