Strengthening Norway’s position as a health & life science export nation 🚀 Norway has a unique opportunity to establish itself as a leading export nation in life sciences and health technology. With Oslo Science City emerging as the country’s strongest hub for health and life science innovation, Team Norway (Innovasjon Norge and the Norwegian Consulate) is working to support growth, attract investment, and position Norwegian companies internationally. However, despite Norway’s strengths in biomedical research, innovation, and health data, access to capital remains a key challenge. That's why collaboration with DNB//Back Bay, along with Innovation Norway and Norway's diplomatic presence in key US markets such as New York, Boston, San Francisco, Houston, and Washington, DC, is crucial. 🤝 A recent roundtable discussion focused on what triggers investment from US investors and how Norway and Oslo can position themselves as attractive destinations for funding in: ✅ Biomedical research, innovation, and production (e.g., radiopharma, immunotherapy) ✅ Future patient treatments ✅ Health data By strengthening international partnerships and increasing investment opportunities, we can accelerate Norwegian health exports and drive global impact. 🌎 📷: Innovation Norway Tone Varslot Stave | Maria Cathrine Lundstad Aulie | Jannik Grodt Schmidt

Se fullt program og meld din interesse her: https://lnkd.in/d2ZcjQ25

Building Bridges in Life Sciences: Oslo Science City visits Philadelphia The United States is a global leader in life sciences, with cutting edge research and educational hubs driving innovation and development. This week, we are thrilled to host a delegation from Oslo Science City on the East Coast to explore the US's world-leading science ecosystems and fostering partnerships within research, innovation, financing, and commercialization. Philadelphia is one of the most important startup ecosystems for health and life sciences in the country, and therefore an obvious first stop. The delegation met with key science institutions and property developers in the city. This included Drexel University, a private research institution that owns and operates real estate for use by research organizations and start-ups in the biosciences, as well as Pennovation Works, an urban technology park housing over 70 companies with a blend of offices, labs, and production space, developed by The University of Pennsylvania. The team also met with the The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia to get insights on how the city and ecosystem attract companies and investments. Finally, the team visited U3 Advisors, a specialized advisory firm focused on executing real estate projects to drive impact in campuses and neighborhoods in the city. The visit concluded with a reception hosted by the Royal Norwegian Consulate General and the Honorary Consul of Norway in Pennsylvania, Susan Satkowski at The Union League of Philadelphia, a patriotic society founded to support the policies of President Abraham Lincoln - a perfect backdrop for meeting with key players and stakeholders in the region!

It was a pleasure to welcome Oslo Science City and the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in New York to Philadelphia for a shared conversation on the role of innovation districts in fostering local collaboration and facilitating international connectivity. We know the basic building blocks of a successful innovation district - anchoring institutions, leading research and commercialization, depth and diversity of high-growth startups and established firms, the collision of venture capital and a skilled workforce, and placemaking that brings people together to mix, mingle, and exchange. Philadelphia has all of that, many times over. What sets Philly apart, and is the defining feature of our innovation ecosystem, is the immense pride we have for our communities and the value we place on the strength of our partnerships. Philadelphia is a city that prioritizes relationships, from the shared stewardship of our local neighborhoods, to the collaborative approach we take in cultivating our innovation districts. We see it all the time - entrepreneurs continue to choose Philly as they reach for their highest aspirations in enterprise specifically because it is easy to plug into our ecosystem and find the right partners for success. I learned that Oslo Science City has found similar success by valuing the importance of collaborative partnerships, particularly in their core focus areas of health and life sciences; climate, energy, and the environment; democracy and inclusion; and digitalization and computational science. Philadelphia looks forward to staying connected. Thank you to the many contributors in our insightful conversation.
