  • Why do some dev shops in the Philippines charge higher rates? 🇵🇭 We get asked this a lot, and it’s a fair question. We’re seen as a development partner, but our work goes far beyond just writing code. Here’s what you’re really getting when you work with us: 👨🏽💻 A multidisciplinary team. Every project includes a project manager, developer, designer, QA, and sometimes even data engineers or AI specialists, depending on the scope of the project. 💡 Strategic tech guidance. We don’t just build whatever is asked. We help shape the architecture, recommend the right tools, and sometimes even our CTO or engineering leads step in to the projects when more direction is needed. 🧠 Collaborative decision-making. We embed ourselves into your team to align strategy, design, and development from day one. You’re never left alone to figure out the technical side. 🤝 True partnership, not just execution. We think with you, not just for you. Every project is a joint effort aimed at building something that actually works for your business. It’s common for leads to be surprised by our rates, especially for a dev shop based in the Philippines. But what you’re really paying for is more than code. You’re investing in a thinking partner, a dedicated product team, and a tech ally who’s in it for the long game. 🛣️ So when looking for partners to build the solutions you need, it helps to look beyond hourly rates. Ask yourself: What kind of relationship am I investing in? Who’s really on the team? And what kind of thinking comes with the build? (📝 P.S. We shared more context about our rates and how we work in a separate post; check the link in the comments if you’re curious! 😉) #TechConsulting #ProductDevelopment #DigitalInnovation #DigitalTransformation #Leadership #BusinessStrategy #SoftwareDevelopment

  • Roughly 80% of your revenue comes from just 20% of your clients. That’s the 80-20 rule (Pareto Principle) in action. In our experience with business, it holds up more often than not. Of course, the dynamics can vary depending on your business model. A SaaS company may interpret the 20% differently than a marketplace. But for most companies we’ve worked with, the core insight rings true: A small percentage of customers often drive the BIGGEST impact. 🎯 So what should that mean for how you prioritize effort, time, and strategy? 🤔 Here’s how we see it: ✅ Double down on your top 20%. These clients aren’t just high spenders. They’re usually the most aligned, collaborative, and likely to grow with you. ✅ Design around them. From product development to customer experience, the needs of your core clients should heavily influence where you invest. ✅ Retention is your superpower. Acquiring new clients is important, but nurturing the right ones creates compounding value over time. We’ve seen this principle play out in our own partnerships. In some cases, a few key clients sparked new business lines, deeper co-creation, and long-term growth— not just for them, but for us too. 🔍 We'd love to hear from you: How do you choose where to focus your energy? Let’s trade notes 👇 #BusinessStrategy #CustomerExperience #Leadership #Innovation #GrowthMindset

  • Enterprise teams: It’s okay to launch before the product is complete. The key is to build what matters first, then learn as you go. 🔑 We get that when you're leading a product launch at the enterprise level, there’s a lot on the line: Internal stakeholders. Customer expectations. Brand reputation. The instinct is to go big. A grand launch. All features, all at once. But after years of partnering with global enterprises, here’s what we’ve learned: 💡 Purpose beats perfection. Every time. If you're building right now, here’s the guidance we give our clients: ✅ Start with the core tasks your users need to accomplish. Nail those first. ✅ Release in increments. A solid beta is more valuable than a bloated version no one uses. ✅ Validate early. Real feedback from real users isn’t just for startups. It’s what drives successful enterprise products, too. 🔍 Case in point: One of the largest banks in the Philippines came to us with an idea of a product they wanted to build and launch. We encouraged them to test a prototype version with just 50 real users first. They listened, and we watched how the users interacted with the product live. The feedback was immediate. The client doubled down on product improvement and we continued partnering to bring those changes to life. The result? A stronger, more user-centered product that was later successfully launched to the public with confidence and clarity. 👉 Building for the future means building with real feedback. How are you testing and learning from your users? Let us know your thoughts! 💭 #SoftwareDevelopment #ProductDevelopment #EnterpriseTech #DigitalTransformation #Validation #UserFeedback

  • "You've built an app like this before. Can't you just copy + paste the code?" We get why this comes up from clients who are trying to make smart decisions about cost. And on the surface, it makes total sense. But here’s the reality: we don’t copy + paste, because we can’t. Why? 1️⃣ It’s not ours to reuse. When we build software for a client, it becomes their intellectual property. We don’t keep a library of past client code on a digital shelf. We hand it over, and it’s theirs. 🤝 2️⃣ “Looks like” doesn’t mean “works like.” Even if two apps share features, the underlying architecture, workflows, and goals are almost always unique. Copy-pasting doesn’t serve your vision—or set you up for long-term success. ❌ 3️⃣ You’re paying for expertise, not duplication. What we do bring from past projects is insight: what works, what to avoid, and how to build a scalable, sustainable solution for YOUR business. 💯 🏠 Think of it like asking an architect to reuse blueprints from another client’s home. It might seem efficient, but your home deserves to be designed for you: your lifestyle, your space, your future. We build software with our clients, not just for them. It’s a partnership, and we treat your goals like our own. If you're looking for a tech partner who will invest in your vision with care, strategy, and craft, you can DM us your questions! 📩 #SoftwareDevelopment #DigitalTransformation #Business #Technology

  • “Why do I have to pay for bugs???” 🤔 This is a question we sometimes hear from clients, especially after we explain that we bill based on the time and materials spent building their app or system. Totally fair question. 💯 If there are bugs, doesn’t that mean something went wrong? Shouldn’t the dev team fix it for free? Well, it’s easy to assume bugs = mistakes. But in software, that's not always the case. Let’s break it down. 👇🏽 👉🏽 Bugs don’t always mean the code is broken. 🐛 We build the app based on how we (client and dev team) expect users to behave. But even the best engineers or most experienced businesspeople can't predict every single way their users will interact with the tool. Edge cases and unexpected issues often only appear after launch. That's the reality. 👉🏽 "The work ends after the app is launched." 🛠️ Not exactly. After launch, external factors like third-party integrations or OS updates can trigger issues. That doesn’t mean something was done wrong during development. It’s just part of keeping a live system running smoothly and adapting to change. 👉🏽 Bugs are often fixed as part of a larger update. ⚙️ When a new feature is added or a change is made, it often impacts multiple areas of the system. Example: A tweak in your CRM can ripple through your reporting, notifications, or analytics tools. If we want to avoid these ripple effects, we’d need to leave everything as-is and avoid any updates or changes... but that’s not how systems evolve. Fixing these ripple effects ensures everything continues to run in sync. 💬 The bottom line: As a technology partner, we don’t just fix bugs; we support your system as it evolves. Building software isn’t a one-and-done task— it’s an ongoing collaboration to make sure your technology works as your business grows. ------------------------------------------------------- Thinking about a software project? 🤔 You can share your questions on timelines, budgets, or scoping below or DM us— we’re always happy to have honest conversations about what it takes to build great software. 💪🏽 #SoftwareDevelopment #Technology #DigitalTransformation #BusinessGrowth #Leadership
