The Mount Rose Massif reaches an altitude of 4,634 m and its highest point is called the Dufourspitze, only 173 m below the altitude of Mont Blanc. Its climb takes place over two days, spending one night at the Monte Rosa Hut, at 2,795 m. It is a long race with 1,800 m of altitude difference. Three am, in the dark, the team progresses in silence to the Monte Rosa glacier. The day rises and the landscape appears: the Matterhorn, the Dent Blanche, the Weisshorn, the Dom, the Liskamm. The 4,000 of Valais are all there. The team pursues on the magnificent rocky ridge at 4,500 meters of altitude which leads to the highest point in Switzerland: the Dufourspitze at 4,634 meters.
