Fishel's interpretation of "Birdman," a ranting, raving homeless oracle, is juxtaposed with the story told by The Brute Chorus about a shaman casting spells on his neighbor. Frontman James Steel opens his tale with "I'm gonna drink myself immortal and smoke myself blind," quoting a heretical hymn from centuries ago.
