Concorde Capital is entering a new investment field - the transportation market. According to our calculations, the volume of legal road transportation in Ukraine is UAH 7 billion a year (if we count "gray" transportation, it is several times more). We will be entering this area through infrastructure projects, and the first one will be the reconstruction of the “Kyiv” bus station. This is the one called the "pit". And believe me, if someone doesn't know, the popular name came about for a reason. It really is a "pit", if not the “bottom”. We estimate that the station's passenger traffic is about 10 thousand people a day, which is 400 bus trips plus or minus. The reconstruction will require significant capital investments and will be implemented in two stages. The first stage - separation of bus and car traffic - has already taken place. The second stage is the in-depth renovation of the building and surrounding territory in accordance with European standards. Passengers will get high quality service. There will be a waiting area, a food court, a lounge, a playroom for children, a first-aid post, and commercial premises. I can assure you that the changes will be very significant. https://lnkd.in/dDXEngKv

Our Head of Communications and Partnerships, Olena Kuryacha, has seen how the Lviv logistics center PORT works from the inside 👏 ☝️ It was a working visit to exchange experiences with the Ukrainian Entrepreneurs Association. 👏 A valuable journey through the territory of a modern logistics center operating on ESG principles (environmental, social, and corporate governance). For example, the center preserved a natural lake during construction, even though filling it would have been cheaper. 💬 "We had the opportunity to see how a 4-story distribution center works, where most processes are automated, and manufacturing enterprises. Everybody especially liked our Ukrainian peanut butter producers." Our delegation spent an hour at this plant! It's crucial to see how things are done, and infrastructure is created because this is an experience you won't learn in universities. Once again, I was convinced of the strength of Ukrainian business. Everyone has ambitious export plans," Olena said. So, let's continue working for the development of the economy and exports 🇺🇦💪 Read Bureau of Investment Programs on Facebook 👉 https://lnkd.in/evrVDqdG

This Saturday, I was glad to join an important discussion at the Open House Forum organized by UCU Business School (LvBS) on "How to launch Ukrainian breakthrough products?" With Scott Sehlhorst, Olena Zanichkovska, and Mykola Maksymenko, we discussed the best trends in Product Development and Marketing. Some of my key points during the conversation: - The product-oriented mindset differs from the service-oriented mindset. However, we have the potential to change that. Venture investments and private equity seek new markets, and Ukraine remains highly attractive. Once the war is over, we anticipate a surge in investment because of our market's significant potential. To adopt a product-oriented mindset, we must make many right decisions. Yet, before we can make the right decisions, we will have many failures. And that's also part of the product mindset. Try to fail to see what didn't work so that you gain that experience. Over the past two years, I've seen that investors are less concerned about the geographical origin of entrepreneurs, as this market doesn’t have a national identity. Their primary focus is on investing in strong founders. Despite everything, Ukrainian startups still make great products and sell them all over the world. Being a Ukrainian is a competitive advantage that can and should be used properly during pitches.

The current restaurant market in Baku demonstrates highly unpredictable volatility. This is primarily due to the lack of market analysis and the absence of proper financial modeling before launching and investing in new projects. Secondly, the market is oversaturated, particularly with restaurants offering European and other non-local cuisines and concepts. We have witnessed several large chain restaurants with strong concepts closing their doors. Some failed due to poor location choices, others because of unsuitable concepts, and others still due to inadequate advertising and marketing strategies. Amidst this challenging environment, beer restaurants and pubs are showing remarkable growth. These establishments align with local cultural trends and concepts, offering menus that often rival or exceed those of traditional restaurants. The local audience's primary preference leans towards a variety of cold and hot appetizers served in small portions—ideal for long social gatherings. The key takeaway for launching a restaurant business is either to follow existing trends or to create new ones.

It feels like the world hasn't learned any lessons from the most devastating war of the last century. Many have pointed out that what is happening now follows the exact scenario that unfolded nearly a hundred years ago - from appeasing a tyrant and the illusory peace that only delayed the inevitable war, to the brutal occupation of Poland and the rest of Europe. Read the words of Jarek Paruzel, a voice from Europe, a voice from our neighbor, a voice of a Pole whose country understands all too well what a major war entails. Meanwhile, Europe is spending time and resources on initiatives like adapting legislation to regulate the PET bottle cap market. Of course, these initiatives are important too. But they cannot replace security and freedom, which are under threat in Europe just as they were a century ago.

Today, on Charity Day, I want to sincerely thank you for your trust. Our Foundation is among the TOP 50 largest charitable foundations in Ukraine, according to Forbes. We stand alongside major organizations like Come Back Alive, Nova Ukraine, Serhiy Prytula Foundation, Olena Zelenska Foundation | Фундація Олени Зеленської, and many others helping the country endure and defeat the enemy, protecting those who need aid during the war. We’ve also entered the TOP 5, or rather the TOP 4, of private foundations, alongside the Petro Poroshenko Foundation, Viktor Pinchuk Foundation, and Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. This achievement is even more significant considering our foundation is just over two years old, made possible thanks to you—our friends, partners, and employees—who believe in the Foundation and our work every day. It’s an honor to have my name associated with the Foundation, and it comes with great responsibility. We know that working with children and military personnel carries reputational risk, and we approach this with the utmost care. Over 300 foundations, volunteers, and partners have joined our team to make our plans a reality. I thank each of you for your work, support, and faith. This drives us forward! How did we achieve such results in just two years? It’s simple: we work honestly and responsibly, valuing your trust. Let me briefly share the main areas of our work: 🔹 The “Childhood Without War” project began with an agreement between First Ladies Olena Zelenska and Emine Erdoğan to evacuate orphans from Ukraine to Turkey. It became the largest centralized private-public evacuation of orphans in modern Europe and was recorded in the World Records Book. More than 2,700 orphans and their caregivers were relocated to Turkey. Our team organized safe housing, education, medical insurance, and leisure activities. Nearly 1,000 doctor visits, over 624 hours of English lessons, and 7,548 hours of art, sports, and other development activities were provided. We’ve purchased 9,557 pairs of shoes and seasonal clothing. Most importantly, three children have already found new families through adoption, and we continue to work in this direction. 🔹 The “HEROCAR” project is the only national platform supplying the Armed Forces of Ukraine with wheeled vehicles. We built a system for delivering cars from Europe at the lowest price, highest quality, and fastest time. This is valued by the military, who receive vehicles from us every month. We’ve delivered over 500 vehicles so far. Our partners, who support their employees on the frontlines, also appreciate our work, and their gratitude is the most important reward for us. Our Foundation team is setting new ambitious goals. I sincerely thank everyone who supports us and helps make the world a better place together. Sincerely, Your Ruslan Shostak

Dear Colleagues, I am pleased to inform you about the launch of the Money Matters in IT project, which aims to help owners of small and medium-sized IT companies to run their businesses smoothly and orderly, based on indicators rather than intuition. After more than 10 years as a CFO and 4 years of financial consulting IT business, I can see the typical problems that founders and TOP managers face: ◾ You are doing a lot but see no progress ◾ You don't know how to make decisions based on numbers ◾ You manage your business without setting targets on a case-by-case basis 🔸 The finance function is not working (or you are not happy with the results) ◾ You don't know how to measure the effectiveness of departments ◾ You don't understand how much you need to reinvest in business. ◾ You announce targets to the team, but they are not met ◾ The business is stagnating (not growing at 15-20% per year) OR You are planning big business transformations, but don't know how to manage it financially. I see business as a system and each process as a repeating cycle. My role is to provide the business with the tools to make confident management decisions. The standard set of services includes: ✅ Financial Function Audit: Assess and optimising financial, delivery, legal, operations, and sales functions. ✅ Accounting System Implementation: Set up management accounting systems. ✅ Process Development: Implement full-cycle accounting, project effectiveness tracking, pricing, financial modelling, and management reporting. ✅ Financial Analysis: Analyse financial health and provide growth recommendations. ✅ KPI Development: Create systems to track company and individual performance. ✅ Management Establishment: Implement and maintain OKR frameworks. ✅ Business Transformation: Shift from manual to data-driven decision-making. ✅ Employee Hiring and Training: Recruit and train staff for optimal performance. 〰 Interaction format 〰 - online consultations/services - slot can be booked in the direct mail On this page, I share my experience in financial management for project development and IT companies in general. #finance #it #business
