Welcome to the team Dan 🎉
I am excited to announce that Daniel Trodden has joined Natural Cycles as our Senior Vice President of Market Access at Natural Cycles. Natural Cycles is primarily known as a direct-to-consumer women's health brand. Ever since our FDA clearance in 2018, we have worked behind the scenes to secure health insurance coverage for our flagship product NC° Birth Control. We always believed that women should get a similar level of access to our products as with any other pharmaceutical contraceptive technology. In recent years, we've started to make breakthroughs with the HHS and CMS, resulting in most of our US users being now eligible for reimbursement. US market access and patient access is a complex world involving many stakeholders. Introduce an innovative software application into the healthcare world and the complexity goes up further. That's where Dan comes in - over the next few years, we'll be working together to create a smooth patient experience to enable broad access to our technology, in the US first, then worldwide. This won't be Dan's first rodeo - Dan has developed and led multiple teams who have successfully established health insurance access for innovations that don't easily fit into our healthcare infrastructure. At Genomic Health Dan led teams to secure coverage and payment for novel genomic assays to help early stage breast cancer patients personalize their treatment decision based upon the biology of their individual tumor. Most recently, at Insulet Dan developed and led the commercial strategy to establish pharmacy channel and payer access for the wearable, tubeless Omnipod brand of products. I am eager for Dan and his team to establish broad, and seamless health insurance access for Natural Cycles. His team's efforts will be accompanied by further investment in medical marketing to continue to raise awareness among OB-GYNs, as more patients seek non-hormonal birth control methods.
